I've been thinking about you

Hello again.  I made another card last night with my new PTI goodies.  I just love the new stamps I got.  I used the color challenge from Color Throwdown and the sketch from 2 sketches 4 you.  I didnt think it was going to turn out very well, but I was pleased with the end result.  I am really liking the new Rustic Cream cardstock from Papertrey Ink.  I stamped the sentiment under the flowers, but it is the light blue color and didnt show up very well on camera.

You're on my mind

Hello everyone.  Have you had a good week?  It went by pretty fast for me.  We are still having this freezing cold weather.  I am waving a white flag.  I give up.  This is just too cold!  Haha.
I decided to put two challenges together this week.  I have a couple I would like to participate in and this way it is easier for me to get them finished.  I used the sketch at Mojo Monday and the color challenge at Embellish Magazine.  You had the choice of a square or circle card on the sketch and for the color challenge you had to use ribbon too.  Check!

Supplies:
Stamps: PTI/ Blooming Button Bits
Cardstock: PTI/ Vintage Creme, Dark Chocolate
Patterned Paper: PTI/ Pretty Pastels
Ribbon/ Unknown
Twine: PTI
Ink: PTI/ Sweet Blush , Aqua Mist, Dark Chocolate

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a great weekend.  See you soon.

Card Patterns

Hello everyone.  How are you all doing today?  I wanted to make a feminine card for the sketch challenge over at Cardpatterns.  I am a girly girl at heart, and anything with pastels and frills is right up my alley.  Funny thing is...I won't wear anything too girly or frilly.  Wierd?  I like my home decorated in the vintage shabby look too.  I collect teapots and tea cups and display them on crochet doilies.  My Mother-in-Law quilts and I have many of her wall hangings hung and table runners on my tables.  I just love them and the way it makes everything feel cozy.
Anyway, on to the card.  I did make it my own a little.  I made the card 5 1/2 by 4 1/4 instead of square, and moved the circle up just a little.

This is a picture of my favorite tea cup and sugarl bowl on one of those beautiful quilted table runners.

Wish Big

Hello.  I am off today and we hade a huge ice storm come through.  So what is there better to do than to make cards, right?  I used the sketch from 2 sketches 4 you, and the colors from Color Throwdown.  I was going to give my friend her birthday card today since it is her birthday, but because of the ice I think I will play it safe and wait until Friday when we go out for dinner.  Everything is covered in ice here.  I do mean covered too.

I had the hardest time centering this stamp image.  I had to restamp it 3 times.   I think I might have to start standing when I stamp that way I see from the top and not at an angel.  Do you have any suggestions for stamping?  How do you do it?  I do have a Fiskars acrylic stamper with little spongy feet that spring back so you get an even image.  I do like that.  I also have the We R memory keepers magnetic mat with all the measuring lines on it too.  They both come in handy.  I guess it is just technique that I am lacking.

Supplies:
Cardstock: PTI/ ripe avacado
Patterned paper: Cosmo Crickit/ everafter
Stamp: PTI/ Big and Bold Wishes
Ink: PTI Sweet Blush
Ribbon: unknown
Button: Basic Grey

Thanks for stopping by everyone,

Valentine's

Hello everyone.  I logged on yesterday and saw the new color challenge at JUGS  and got a llittle worried.  I would never have used these colors together, and thought I was going to have a hard time putting this one together.  I actually really like the way it turned out.  I cut the center shape on my Cricut using the Storybook cartridge.  I found cuts on this cartridge that I had forgotten about.  I guess I need to start going through my stuff again.  I used the sketch at CPS for this card.  Well, what do you think?  You like it?  I hope so.

Thank You

Hello everyone.   I made a special Thank You card just for my mom and dad.  I don't know what I would do without them.  I am sure everyone says the same thing " I have the best parents ever".  They are wonderful.  My husband had lost his job and was unemployed for a year.  He DID find another job, but unfortunately not making as much money as he use to make.  We have made the decision to move to Alabama to be near my parents ,brother and his family.  We have been away from them for 8 years now.  Too long if you ask me.  Well anyway... on to the card.

The sketch is from Mojo Monday.

Thanks so much for stopping by.

Raspberry Suite # 21

Hello everyone,
I have been kind of lazy this last week.  We had two snow days, and I got absolutely nothing accomplished.  Oh well, I guess that is what snow days are for.  I wanted to make some thank you cards for my family from Christmas.  What better else to use than my new Papertrey goodies.  I decided to use the colors from Dawn's Raspberry Suite.

Dawn has been putting up tutorials on alot of how to's.  I learned a trick from her bow tying video Here.  I made two different cards using the colors provided.  I will mass produce these, as they were quick and easy to make...once I decided what I wanted to make.  haha!
I had so much fun making these flowers, that I might just have to make some more.  I cut them out on my Cricut using Accent Essentials.  Scrunched them up, inked em and the put on a felt flower I cut out on my cuttlebug in the middle along with a button.

Cardstock: PTI~ Dark Chocolate & Vintage Cream
Patterned Paper: Blue/ Basic Grey (offbeat) Cosmo Cricket (ever after)

Key To My Heart

Hello everyone.  I am so excited to have been able to participate in the release of Courtney's  new line of stamps from Practicing Creativity.  She has created this awesome set called Key To My Heart.  It will be for sale tonight at midnight for just $12.99.  How awesome is that.
I can not begin to tell you how much I love these stamps.  I had so much fun making a card for this release.  I am totally in love with the background stamp and the font of the sentiments.  I have so many ideas that it was hard to decide which stamps to use first.
Go over to her blog and see for yourself.  Grab her blinkie and put it on your blog.  She is a wonderfully creative cardmaker/stamper.  The possibilities with this set are endless.

What are you waiting for girls?  Go see Courtney at Practicing Creativity.  Get your new stamp set tonight.  Thank you all for stopping by.  I will be posting more cards using this set later today or tomorrow.
Thank you Courtney for allowing me to be a part of your creative Journey.  Good Luck!

With Love

It is so cold here.  Our wind chill is -28 right now.  So we are just staying home inside where it is nice and warm.  I don't know how much longer I can tolerate this cold weather.  I am ready to move somewhere where is doesn't get so cold.  Anyone have any suggestions?  I don't like hot weather either.  I am from the South and don't like the heat and the bugs that go along with it.  I guess that doesn't leave many options.

I made a card last night for the Embellish Magazine color challenge.  I am not one to use black except for Halloween, so I found one tiny piece that I could emboss to use.  I literally found scraps to put this together.  So that leads me to enter this into the challenge over at Capture the Moment  for Papertrey Ink.  Nichole has a challenge to use up your scraps.  When I saw this last night during my daily visits to everyones blog, I thought I would enter it over there also.

Supplies:
Cardstock: Archivers
Hearts, Buttons: Making Memories
Embossing Folders: Cuttlebug
Twine: Archivers by the yard

I ordered some new goodies from Papertrey Ink the other day with my Christmas money.  I can't wait to get them in the mail.  I might have to wait to make some more cards until I get them.
I hope you all are warm at home.  Thanks for stopping by.
