Timeless Tuesday

Hell again.  It has been a long week.  I did squeeze in some time to make a card for this weeks challenge at Flourishes Timeless Tuesday.  This week Cindy is our challenge hostess and she is giving us a recipe.  Use any image stamp your heart desires, just make sure you include these embellishments on your project.  Embellishment Recipe: A flower, A tag, A ribbon.

I used two Flourishes stamp sets: Petals & Peace, and A Gift For You.   The second set is from last years Christmas release and has the best tiny sentiments that are perfect for tags.  I used the matching Keyhole die and hand cut the mat.  The paper is Bo Bunny and My Minds Eye.  Cardstock is PTI Rustic White, Kraft.  Ribbon is Hug Snug seam binding.  Twine and button are PTI as well.

I hope you take a few minutes to stop by and see what the rest of the design team has created.

PTI Blog Hop

Hello.  Did you have a wonderful Thanksgiving?  We went to my BFF's parents house just like we do every year for Thanksgiving and Easter.  I haven't been feeling so great the last couple days so we didn't stay too long.

I made a card for the PTI blog hop today.  There is a beautiful inspiration photo.  Here is what I came up with.  I saw the gingham print on the couch and pretty greenery strung on the stair railing.  This card definitely has that country Christmas feel to it.

Supplies:
Cardstock: PTI/ Kraft, Cream
Patterned Paper: Authentique
Stamps: PTI Love Lives Here and Holiday set too
MFT: Faux Crochet Border
Ribbon: Offray
Button and Twine: PTI/ Rustic Cream

Happy Thanksgiving

I wanted to take a minute to tell you all how much you mean to me.  I cherish all the friendships I have made through this little blog of mine.  I am thankful for each and every one of  you.  For all of you that will be celebrating...Happy Thanksgiving.

I know, I know, I know!  This is Thanksgiving.  BUT, I sat for nearly 2 hours today trying to figure out what I was going to make.  It has been quite a while since I have made something for my own pleasure that wasn't a DT requirement of some kind.  I had my first card published this month in CARDS on page 103.  I was looking though it today and saw a card that caught my attention.  So, I CASED it.  Obviously I can't show you the card in the magazine because it is the current issue.  So, go check it out for yourself.

Supplies:
Cardstock: PTI/ Kraft, Rustic Cream, White
Patterned Paper: Simple Stories/25 Days of....
Dies: Spellbinders/ Heart and Scalloped Heart, Tear Drop Circles, Banners  & PTI/Banner Border dies
Ribbon: Offray
Twine: PTI
Flower: Recollections
Sewing Machine for stitching

Timeless Tuesday / Peace & Joy

Hello.  Heather here and I am your challenge hostess this week.  I have a beautiful technique for you to try.  I found this tutorial that our very own talented Beate did about a year ago and fell in love with it.  It is called The Dryer Sheet Technique.   Put those used dryer sheets to good use. Simply color your image as you normally would and adhere a used dryer sheet to your image.  You can find a link to the video HERE.

I used the pretty Cardinal from last year's set called Christmas Classics.  I think that is my favorite set ever! Doesn't it look like he is in a snow storm?  So soft and pretty.  I used the Tear Drop Circles Spellbinders dies from the Flourishes store.  The paper is Echo Park and the ribbon is Fine Linen from PTI as well as the little tag die.

Here is a close up of the image.  It looks like he is in a snow storm.  I love looking outside at the cardinals at my bird feeder in the middle of winter with snow all around.  We don't have any snow yet.  It is actually supposed to be almost 60 degrees here on Thanksgiving.  That is not normal for this time of year.

Below is a picture of a male Cardinal in my backyard 2 winters ago.  It is very similar to the image from Flourishes.  Isn't he pretty?

Happy Birthday Julie

Today we are celebrating Julie Koerber's birthday.  She is an amazingly talented  woman who does all the behind the scenes stuff at Flourishes.  I don't know what we would do without you Julie.  I want to say I truly appreciate everything you do.   I wanted to make her a classy birthday card with one of the beautiful floral sets from Flourishes called Sweet Nature.

Happy Birthday Julie!

I am still using my favorite My Minds Eye paper.  I am going to be so sad when I run out.  Then again, I am sure there will be something new to take it's place.  I used Spellbinders Classic Ovals LG&SM along with the Banner dies as well.  Copic Markers Y23, YR23, YR24, G21, YG93, B000.  I sponged the inside with Tim Holtz Distress inks in Fine Linen and Vintage Photo. Image was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black.

All the girls on all design teams have made something for Julie.  Make sure you stop by and say hi, and don't forget to wish the birthday girl a Happy Birthday.
I will see you tomorrow night
Hugs,
Heather

A Merry Christmas To You / CR84FN

Hello again, and welcome to a new color challenge at CR84FN.  This week we are using Green, Brown, and Tan.

I used some Waltzing Mouse labels stamps and added some Want 2 Scrap bling to dress it up a little.  I love the vintage feel this card has.  I used some of the lace that Stella sent me and some American Craft's ribbon. You like that paper?  It is Echo Park, and I love it.

Timeless Tuesday

Hello.  It is time for another Timeless Tuesday and Tammy is our challenge hostess this week and the theme is "Flag Your It" : Use "flags" in your design... whether it's a flag image, or a sentiment flag, or pennants! Whatever YOU think represents a flag!

I made a pretty little flag banner to fit right on the top left of my card.  Flourishes has some of the best sentiments I have even found in any stamp sets.  I inked up Butterflies & Blossoms  for the focal of my card and stamped the sweet butterfly in a soft pink ink.

CR84FN 42

Hello.  It is week 2 at CR84FN.  This weeks colors are pale pink, Black, and a neutral.  I made a birthday card because it seems I never have one on hand when I need it.

I added some Want 2 Scrap bling and used a stamp set and dies from My Favorite Things.  I loved the elegant look to the pretty patterned paper.

Joy Is In The Air

Hello again.  I am one lucky girl this week.  I get to play along with the big kids.  Tonight we are featuring another new set from Flourishes called Joy Is In The Air.  There are some adorable images in this set that fit right inside a darling snow globe.  Although I did not use the snow glob for mine because I really wanted to use that amazing sketch and I just couldn't make it work.

I love my new Echo Park Season's Greetings paper.  What I like about it is that it has some traditional colors like reds and greens as well as some teals.  I added some Star Dust Stickles to the snow for added shimmer and a little White Fun Flock to the hat and gloves on my Santa.  Nothing that stands out too much, but just enough that the recipient will notice.  I also added some Want 2 Scarp pearl bling to dress it up a little.

I also used the sketch that Tami Mayberry drew up for the Flourishes Limelight Designer post.

Make sure you stop by the rest of the design team for lots of amazing inspiration.

Petals and Peace

I am happy to be part of the new release of the beautiful new stamp set From Flourishes called Petals and Peace.  I love the vintage feel this image has.   I have a lot of information about this set and Tailor-made die, so keep on scrolling down.

Supplies:
Cardstock: PTI Rustic Cream, Kraft  DP: Echo Park, Stickles: Star Dust
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Tim Holtz Antique Linen, Walnut stain

Our newest set Petals & Peace  offers an elegant window into the holidays with a classic and beautiful collage of images ready to take center stage on your cards or creations — an Amaryllis paired with a musical score and jingle bells or a bouquet of winter roses surrounded by pine boughs. This set features five beautifully scripted sentiments to match and better yet, they fit perfectly in our new die set’s word window!  Use these images with our Tailor-made Classic Keyhole Template Die for a perfectly cut and embossed image every time!

When you look at the stamp set above, how nice is it to know that you have a coordinating die — a “Tailor-made” die — that delivers a beautiful cut and embossed shape each and every time! We thought it was the perfect addition to the Flourishes collection. These custom dies are manufactured by Spellbinders Paper Arts — the best in the industry! We thought selling these die cut shapes as singles would help keep them affordable, allowing you to add to your stash! Keep in mind, our new Classic Keyhole Template Die coordinates perfectly with our Petals and Peace set, but that’s not the only stamp set we have planned to match this one-of-a-kind die! You’ll have to stay tuned!

Want to win this set and matching die? All you need to do is leave some love in the form of a comment on the blogs below! Why? You need to try to figure out…..

One of the ladies on our link list below will be picking a name from the comments on her blog post today. We don’t know which one it is… so the more blogs you leave comments on, the more chances you have to win! So, head on over and see how our fabulously talented DT used this beautiful new set and matching die combo that is sure to be a holiday fave for years to come!

Bring Back Beautiful 16

Hello!  Oh my word, it feels like it has been forever since I got to post last.  I am definately getting a lot less crafty time in.  I am squeezing it in when I can.  This month at Flourishes Bring Back Beautiful the challenge is The Beauty of A Fold.  You can make anything, it just has to have a fold other than a normal fold in the middle of the card.
Here are the details:
Link up your Bring Back Beautiful Challenge creation HERE to enter. If you upload to SCS, please use the keyword BBB16. You have until November 30th st to enter! As we unveil our challenge for next month, we’ll share our True Beauties – those card makers who wowed us with this challenge! Winners will be featured on the Flourishes Blog and will receive a True Beauty blog button to display proudly on their blog!

Warning:  Photo Heavy to give you better views of the fold and inside of the card

You can see I created a Gate Fold card.  I added some Want 2 Scrap bling to the right side of the fold.

Here is the inside where I placed my larger sentiment/greeting.

Close up of the details on the image.  I added some Stickles in Star Dust and Distress Stickles in Scattered Straw.

I used the set called Christmas Candles and Spellbinders dies in Picot Edge Circles.  I also used Copics from the following collections.  All these can be found in the Flourishes store HERE.

Make sure you see what the rest of the design team has created for you:
