Sweet Sunday 213

Hello, my sweet blog friends!  The card I am sharing today is one that I made for the Sweet Sunday Sketch challenge.  You are to make a 5.5" x 3.5" in card.  I don't think I have ever made anything smaller than an A2 or a Square 5"x5"in card.  This actually looks kind of cute!  As you can see below, I made a matching tag to go with my card.

I popped the yellow flower up with some some dimensional adhesive.  I have become addicted to the Scotch brand that you can find at your local craft store.  It is just the right thickness...not too thick and not too think.

Here is the cute little tag I created using a variety of MFT stamps and die-namics .

Here they are together.  You can really tell how small the card is in comparison to the tag.

MFTWSC 169

Hi!  Hope you have had a great weekend so far.  My Saturday was taken up by a migraine that refused to go away.  Finally somewhere after lunch on Sunday, the brain for lifted.  We have had beautiful spring weather this weekend and I was determined not to spend it in bed nursing a migraine.

I wanted to create a card for the MFTWSC sketch using some spring colors, so I looked in my MME paper packs for some patterned paper that fit the bill.  This is what I came up with.  I layered two different flower die-namics sets to achieve this look.  The frame was die cut twice, once in white and the second in Razzleberry.  Then, I took my oval tab die and die cut a piece out where I wanted my sentiment to go and stamped it inside.

Wishing You A Quick Recovery

Hello there my friends!  I created this card for the Sweet Sunday sketch.  I had scraps of cardstock in these pretty colors laying around after a couple projects and I adored the way they looked together, so I had to use them together on a card.  I never have any get well cards laying around and thought I needed to stock up.  They are like sympathy cards, sometimes you need them in a hurry.

I ran across a card I made several months back which had this beautiful Hibiscus flower on it and decided that I needed to use it again.  I am trying very hard to use colors that I don't normally use and use older die cuts that have been neglected.  Both of the patterns you see here are stamped using various stamp sets.  The script font from the Poppy set is my favorite.  The peachy colored cardstock  from Stampin' up is called Crisp Cantelope (linked below) the pink is PTI Hibiscus Burst all other supplies are MFT.

MFTWSC168

Hello!  I have a bright and cheery card to share with you, today.  As I was sitting at my make up table getting ready the other morning, I looked at my pretty bottle from Bath Body Works and thought how great the colors would be on a card.  I thought the MFTWSC sketch would be perfect for these colors!  I had the fragrance mist out, but honestly, had I had the shower gel on my desk I would have used some black and white stripes somehow on my card.
