I made a card tonight that fits the Color Throwdown and the Card Patterns challenge. Let me tell you...this was definately a challenge for me. Not colors I would normally use, but in the end I am very happy with it. I love how the the little skunk is offering a flower. How cute!
Basic Grey Marrakech patterned paper
Hero Arts Stamps and crystals
Cuttlebug embossing folder
Spellbinders scalloped circles
Craft cardstock for card base
water color pencils to color the stamped image
I also made a card the other night for The Raspberry Suite Color Challenge #19 and The Taylored Expressions Challenge. This one I am not sure about. It doesnt look anything like what I normally make. What do ya do? Oh well.I think it is just simpler than what I like. It fits the color combo and the sketch so it will have to do. Guess ya can't love em all.
Bazzil cardstock
Kand Co patterened paper
Fiskars border punch
Prima flowers
Making Memories brad
Studio G stamp
And one last picture for you
This fat little guy just finished raiding my bird feeder. I love the birds and feed them all year round. Some times...okay most times the squirrels help themselves too. Oh well, gotta feed em all. Even the deer eat out of my ground feeder. I am a huge animal lover and enjoy watching all the little critters eat. Except the raccoons. They are horrible, they break the feeders trying to get to the food.
Thanks for stopping by,
Heather
Beautiful cards Heather. That little guy is so cute! Our visitors over here are the kookaburras and the koalas! So cool to see some different animals:)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful cards! Love the layout for the Throwdown card, too! Thanks for playing!
ReplyDeleteLove the skunk image; these cards are really great. The picture of the squirrel is precious; he looks very well fed. I'm an animal lover too so it doesn't bother me too much when an unintended guest eats up the food haha
ReplyDeleteI'll be having a giveaway for my 100th blog post within the next few days so check in with me from time to time to join in on that. The prize isn't totally set yet but it will be a mixture of many different doodads and thingamajigs. I'll be posting my 100th post with my next post and all the details will be revealed then. This is just my way of giving back to the blog community who I have learned so much from. I've made some great friends through blogging and just want to say 'thank you' in blog lingo; best way to do that is have a giveaway! I'll also have new blog bling as I'm having a custom blog design installed and I'm totally excited about that!
Happy Thanksgiving!
Love your cards Heather, and of course the picture of the squirrel(???) We call it in Dutch; eekhoorn.
