I have been meaning to make a card for the 4th of July for weeks now. When I was looking at the Cards blog I saw that the challenge this week was a 4th of July card. So there we go. I had saved several vintage images weeks back and finally printed them off. I thought the children holding the flag was so sweet. I am also entering this in Paper Crafts Star, Curtain Call, and Wee Memories. All have Red White and Blue challenges.
******I need help. When I was commenting the other day on someones blog, I did something and my little picture disappeared and went to that generic silhouette (in the followers box). I am able to go fix it on each individual blog but man that is a lot of blogs to fix. What did I do? Also when I put my pics on my post it automatically puts it at the top and wont let me put them under my typed text. I have to post the pic and delete it several times then it will finally realize where it is supposed to go and stay there. This all happened after they updated Blogger and put the new design stuff in. I am not so computer savvy now girls. Can anyone help me?********
Supplies:
Cardstock: PTI/Kraft
DP: PTI/Bitty Dots 2009
Image: Off the internet
Seambinding: Blue Bird Paperie
Doily: Wilton/ Sprayed it with Candy Apple Red Glimmer Mist
Buttons, from my stash
Thanks so much for stopping by,
Heather
this is absolutely gorgeous heather!!!
ReplyDeleteyipes, I don't know the answer to your photo question but isn't it someone linked to your blogger profile pic? I'm soo not tech savvy though...
Oh I love this heather perfect for the 4th!!!
ReplyDeleteThis card is so sweet. I love the red, white and blue colors. I don't know how to fix your computer problem. I am so afraid to do my own blog layout because I'm afraid I'll mess something up.
ReplyDeleteYour cards are darling!! I have been having a bit of trouble since th blog change too. You might try logging on to "HELP" in the upper right corner and posting your question. A lot of computer smart answers there. ( I am NOT one of them!!)
ReplyDeleteVery pretty vintage image!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous LOVE IT! Your not entering this in my challenge? Its Red, White and Blue! :) :) :) My pictures on blogger used to do that too when I was on the new blogger, I switched back to the old one. :) Hope you find some helP!

ReplyDelete(HATE the new Blogger! Let ME know if you figure it out! Why did they have to change???!!)
Perfect for the 4th.. Love that red doilie!
ReplyDeleteMy picture do the same thing.. I can just move my pictures by right clicking on them and then
holding right button down on top of picture and it moves.. same with Text.. I have learn to make sure I load my picture the way I want them and then writing my text.. but sometimes I want to add a picture at the last minute..
and then its a pain..
I do believe these computers have a mind of there own, cause what works on mine might not work on yours...
Good Luck.
~Linda
I LOVE LOVE this card Heather! I'm nuts for vintage and this is too cute.
ReplyDeleteI'm still using the old post editor and am definitely NOT blog savvy, so I don't know if this will help, but if you need to move your photo you switch to "edit html", highlight the text about your photo, cut, and paste it where you want it. Go back to compose and it should be where you want it.
I had trouble a week or so ago with the little icon for posting too. I tried changing the photo and it still uses the old one on most of the blogs I follow but updated to the new photo on others. ???? Go figure. LOL
This is GORGOUES!! Love the vintage images!! It's perfect! I wish to help but I'm no computer savvy. I thought the picture will automatically load when you sign in. It only show the generic silhouette if I only enter my name and my blog's URL.
ReplyDeleteYour card is amazing beautiful. The image is so cute and lovely. Every detail is great.
ReplyDeleteI wish you very nice day!

ReplyDeleteAbsolutely gorgeous card... Hope your Mum is doing ok.
ReplyDeleteAs for your blog prob. Not sure if you use Apple or Microsoft... I use Apple and it took me a while to figure out that after I type my text, I then have to press the return(or enter) key and then add the picture. Then press return again to add my text and so on... Not sure if this helps
Beautiful card Heather! I love the vintage feel! Great work! Thanks for playing along with us at Papercraft Star!

PS- Not sure how to help you with blogger. It can be such a pain sometimes!!
Great card for the holiday! Yikes, sorry to hear about your blogger issues. I've had some in the past. I think if you want to go back to the old way, you go into settings, then scroll down to Global Setting and click on the Old Editor.
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty card. Ahhg...I'm having the same problem with my photos. It takes me twice as long to complete my post because I have to keep dragging photos to the bottom. I don't want to switch back because I like the larger photos with the new blogger. Let me know when you figure it out. Maybe it's just a glitch they'll work out. Praying for your mom, Patty
ReplyDeleteI've already commented once on this card but it won't hurt to do it again since I LOVE it. :) Just wanted to thank you for playing with us at Papercraft Star!

ReplyDeleteHi Heather!
ReplyDeleteI loved your last card, the Celebrate Today! it's adorable....!
as far as your dilema....
I use windows live writer and then it uploads to my blog...is that what you do?
i don't have any problems with it....
if you don't have it, download it and start using it....it's much better....and if you do have it but are still having these issues..then I don't know what to tell ya!
hope that helps!
have a great first day of July!
ciao bella
