Our Anniversary

Hello.  I was going to post this yesterday and it ended up a day later.  I will tell you why.  It was mine and my husband's anniversary on Saturday.  We had planned on going to dinner that night and do some shopping.  Well...that didn't go as planned.  I have been having problems with my eyes lately and it all hit home on Saturday afternoon.  We were in the grocery store and I started to get an aura like I use to get when I would get my severe migraines.  So we rushed home and I drugged my self up with Benadryl.  Which actually works along with Ibuprofen for my migraines.  I got to thinking that this didn't hurt like I had a migraine, just my eyes were bothering me.  I had a lot of pressure behind my right eye.  So I go to thinking that it might be sinus pressure, so I took meclazine which I take when I get a dizzy head.  Sure enough, that is what it was.  So we had to put off dinner on Saturday for lunch on Sunday.  We ended up just going to Five Guys for a burger because I was still so groggy, I didn't feel much like getting ready for a nice lunch.  Oh well, what do you do?
This is the card I made for my husband.  I always have the hardest time making a "man" card.  I ordered the PTI set Background Basics: Woodgrain.  I do not have very many options in my stash for making a masculine card so I decided to order this set.  I have seen the DT girls at Papertrey makes the best cards using this set.  SOLD!  I even did up the inside.  What do ya think?
Masculine enough?  I asked my husband and he said " but you put flowers on it!'  I told him it was leaves, not flowers,  I thought it was pretty good.  My best at a man card if I do say so myself.
I used Versamark for the wood grain.  I like how it just gave the faint grain appearance.

Cardstock:PTI/Rustic Cream, Enchanted Evening, Kraft
DP: Basic Grey/Boxer, PTI/Bitty Dot Basics 2009

Heather

  6. Amazing card, Heather! Now go see a doctor! If anything happens to your eyes, you won't be making awesome cards anymore & we'll all be VERY upset! So if you won't do it for yourself, do it for US!

  12. Sorry to read about Saturday. That sounded like a migraine when you were describing it which is never good. I know Five Guys was not the plan but nice that you were able to get out. I love this blue mat you used on this card~! It really makes it pop and that PTI set is fabulous!
