I used more Basic Grey Nook and Pantry paper. Works perfectly I thought. The feel of this paper and the berry stamps are singing in harmony on my card. hehe. Like that?
How am I doing on my shading around the Spellbinders dies? Again I used Tim Holtz Antique Linen with my Tim Holtz Ink Blending Tool. Love this thing. I had to watch a lot of You Tube videos on how to do this properly. Actually on the Flourishes web site they have many videos on how to use your Copics and how to blend your ink on your dies. Life savers I tell ya!
I don't own a lot of Copics. I ordered the set of 36 a while back and have purchased a few along the way at Hobby Lobby. I didn't have the perfect color for my raspberries so what I did was lay down my R32 Peach and then go back over it with my R29 Lipstick Red. That gave me the perfect Raspberry color. I do this a lot to achieve the colors I want. I test the mix on a scrap piece of paper first. For the leaves I lay down my G21 Lime Green all over the leaf then go in the shade areas with my G24 Willow. After that I go back over the whole thing with YG03 Yellow Green to brighten it up. I used Y06 and Y17 for the center then went over that with E00 Skin white to mellow out the yellow. LOL One trick I did learn was when using red lay down all other colors first and red last. It bleeds horribly. And I never go to the edge with my red. Learned that one too. So the colorless blender is for my red boo boos.
Thanks so much for stopping by. Hope to see some great World Cardmaking cards from everyone.

ReplyDeleteLovely card Heather! I love your coloring. I wish I had Copics too! Maybe next time! :)
ReplyDeletehappy wcmd, heather! lovely card! thanks for the coloring tips, too!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty Heather! (I have this set too:) The best paper in my opinion is the Flourishes paper, I get the classic white but I think they have ivory too. It blends the best out of all the papers I've tried (and I tried about 6 different ones) and for red boo-boos, which are the worst, I've gotten by FAR the best result of it really being moved back into the lines. Anyway, just thought I'd share as it is a dream to color on with Copics. Hugs...
