I didn't fall off the Earth. I promise. I have been working more the last 3 weeks. So finding crafty/visiting time is hard. I did have time to make a card and participate in the
PTI blog hop. The challenge is to use embroidery floss in an inventive way. I am not sure this is so inventive, but it works. All this twine you are seeing around is the same thing as embroidery floss. I have both and they are exactly the same. I decided to wrap mine around this cute little jar from the set called Friendship Jar. I love the Tea For Two set and thought the sentiment would go perfectly.
I have Iced Tea every day for lunch and dinner, so this was a match made in heaven for me.
AND...I keep all my pasta sauce, and jelly jars, wash them out and use them for my iced tea. I even have about 6 jars that look exactly like the Ball Jars with the handle. My wonderful neighbor in Iowa saved them all after her jelly was gone. She actually gave them to my son because she thought he would like to drink out of them. Well, little does she know that I use them daily. hehe I think Mish had a wonderful idea when she designed this set.
I have wanted to use this pretty Crete Paper from the 6x6 pad called Emma's Shoppe from the moment I received it in the mail. It just screams Shabby Chic to me. I have horribly been neglecting my shabby side lately. Although I love to color, I still am a Shabby girl at heart.
I used this fabulous sketch from
Card Patterns.
I can't wait to see what everyone else has created for the hop.
Thanks so much for stopping by,
Heather
