Happy Birthday/ Case Study

I am playing along with a new challenge to me called Case Study.  I have seen this around on a few of my blog friend's posts and when I saw that they were CASE ing Silke, I had to play along.  I love her clean yet still feminine style.  Her cards are always so full of detail and embellishments, yet still clean.  I don't know how she does it.  So, here is my try at it.


I used the basic layout of her card and stamps, but used my own color combination.  So what do you think?  Did I do it okay? 



I used papers from Crate Paper and the stamps are PTI/ Butterfly Dreams and Turning a New Leaf.  I also used the dies to match the sets as well, and the Banner Border Die for the bottom.  Then colored the pretty butterflies.  I have to say that the Butterfly Dreams is one of my favorite PTI sets.


Here is Silke's card.  See what I mean?  Beautiful isn't it?

    Ooh Heather! What a darling inspired creation. I love what you've done with your color choices. It has added so much warmth it almost looks as if your card is swathed in the magic of a gorgeous sunset. Beautifully innovative and original. Fabulous card. Brava!

    WHAT?? Did you do OK? YES!! It's just stunning! The colours are perfect, and I know it's a CASE of Silke's beautiful card, but the layout here is fabulous - the layering and decorative punches look wonderful. A very special card! xx

    And you were wondering if you did it ok? My oh my Heather; that is a bit of an understatement. You did a fabulous job. I love the these colors; they are screaming spring and your butterflies are breathtaking; as usual :)
