Use water into your card/project. You can use images and/or elements that include water or use any techniques that include water as its supplies (for examples : water coloring, misted BG with water, water color wash).
I used the cute new set from Flourishes called Sweet Days of Summer. I don't know how to water color and this was the only image that I own from Flourishes that has water. I hope you don't mind another Silhouette card again. I didn't think about that ahead of time.
I also didn't put a sentiment on it. I didn't think it would fit nicely and also that way I can add it to the inside when I am ready to send it off. I realized the other day that I had way too many thank you cards and not many other occasions.
I used the JUGS sketch for my card tonight. I haven't played along with the girls in a long time and that was one of my first challenge sites I used. They are celebrating their 100th challenge.

Gee Heather! Gorgeous again!
ReplyDeleteSuch a sweet card!!!!
ReplyDeleteAnother beauty Heather ... love how you shade the stamp ... and I tend to leave the sentiments off unless the card is for something specific ... that way there is always a card to hand ... Have a sweet day

ReplyDeleteHi Heather! This image definitely reminds me of summer, during the evening because of the subtle dusky color you put behind the kids. Goodbye, Summer! My kids are back in school now.

Heather, I love your silhouette and the cuties splashing in the water.
ReplyDeleteYes, I've had that same trouble with Blogger at times and much more in the last few days.
Glad we got rain and I'm sure you are, too. Don't think I've ever been so glad to see it. My water bill has been huge. :-)
I jave a place in my heart for silhouettes and this one took my breath away....FABULOUS!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd this color combo; sigh....
Hugs,
Stella
Beautiful, Heather! LOVE this sweet silhouette!
ReplyDeleteHeather, your card is so soothing. I love all the soft colors and your sewing is perfect. I'm so glad you used this stamp. I have this set but haven't seen this particular stamp used yet. It's a great one. I haven't had any problems with Blogger recently (not any that I haven't created myself, that is) ;) ~Hugs, Cheryl

ReplyDeletesuper fun card!! love the clean and simple design...
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful Heather. I love your choice of paper. You did a great job with your stitching too..
ReplyDeleteOh - I would play with these kids!!!
ReplyDeleteGreat image for this challenge. Love the papers.
ReplyDeleteGreat image! I hear you on the "way too many thankyou cards". I often just tack the sentiment on so if necessary I can change it. I keep the changed out ones plus a stock of other interchangeable ones in a small cheap $1 store photo album, that way I can add a sentiment in a flash.
ReplyDeleteSuch a clean and classic look!
ReplyDeleteHeather, your card is adorable! What a fun image!
ReplyDeleteGreat card, Heather! Love those silhouette images!
