Hello my sweet blog friends. Are you having a good weekend so far? I have a card to share with you that I created for the newest colors at CR84FN. For the next 2 weeks we are using Lavender, Peach, and a Neutral.
I am going to let you in on a little secret. When I originally colored this cutie I had used a color on her cheeks that turned out a little too purple. It looked like someone had punched her in the cheeks and they bruised. It killed me to put that on my blog so I went back and cut out just around her head and recolored it just the way I had intended it to be then glued it on. Ha! I don't think you can tell from straight on but you can in the photo below that is taken at an angel. I was not about to throw away all that hard work or tear off the whole image either. So this was my bad aid for my boo boo. What do you think?
I love these pretty colors. My only gripe...there is little to no purple patterned paper. WHY? I love purple and it is never in any of the paper packs. My Minds Eye needs a whole pack of purple papers and I would be one happy girl.
Supplies:
Cardstock: MFT/Natural, Grapesicle
Patterned Papers: MME
Stamps: MFT/ Pure innocence: Picture Purfect
Dies: MFT Die-namics/ Hibiscus, Mini Tabs foursome, Double Scallop Border

ReplyDeleteI love purple too! I love the soft pastel shades in your papers here, and the colouring on the PI girl is wonderful, the quick fix is brilliant, it adds a nice bit of dimension as her head pops out of the frame! Such a gorgeous design!

Pure sweetness Heather! And way to recover from the mishap!!
ReplyDeleteHeather - your story of her bruised cheeks made me smile!
ReplyDeleteI love that you were able to salvage her sweet face by making another! I have a love/hate relationship with coloring images because I often will ruin the image after spending lots of time on it! Some I can salvage and some I cannot. Needless to say I think you did a fantastic job!!!
Love your pretty card!
This is just darling, Heather! Love the pops of lavender! Great job on the band-aid - she wouldn't be Picture Perfect with a bruise on her face! LOL!
ReplyDeleteJust picture perfect for sure, Heather! Love these soft hues and the fabulous details. Is that MFT or PTI button? I need to get some MFT buttons and I am wondering.....lol!
ReplyDeleteI actually like the way you remedied the cheek problem--it gives the image a little more dimension. The card is so cute, and I love the bit of zig zag holding the tag on.
