Die-namics Feature and Pre-Release Pep Rally

Hello and welcome to the MFT Die-namics Feature and Pre-Release Pep Rally.  This is where we feature all the fabulous new Dir-namics dies being released this month.  There were so many to choose from but I wanted to use one that I had not had the chance to use on my other cards or projects.

I used the darling new Santa's Sleigh, High Rise Numbers, and Snow Drifts.  If you look closely at the die you can see that there is an edge that embosses your paper after you run it through your machine.  I first cut out the sleigh in a wood grain patterned paper, then in a different patterned paper for the inside of the sleigh.  I cut along that embossed edge on the red patterned paper then adhered it to the wood grain paper giving it a layered look.  This is a 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 inch card.   I am looking for a black frame, because after Christmas I will frame it and use it as a cute home decor piece.

Here is the other cute a la mode girl called You Shine.  I had a lot of fun coloring her and I also added some Glossy Accents to the light bulbs.  I speak from experience when I tell you...do not use Glossy Accents and then stand your card up to dry!  I had drippy light bulbs.  LOL  That mistake will not be made twice!

I dug out some old glittered paper and used the new Jumbo Snowflake as a layer on my card.  This die would also make some great ornaments for your tree.  There were so many ideas running through my head and not enough time to make everything I wanted.  Maybe during fall break I will have a little more time and can get into my craft room to make some home made ornaments this year.
