WOW! This has been one fabulous release from MFT...then again they always have an amazing release. I wanted to thank everyone for their support this month and a HUGE thank you to Kim, Jody, and Joanne for having me as Guest Designer this month. I enjoyed every minute! Tonight I am sharing one of my favorite creations using the MFT Die-namics. I like being able to combine older stamp sets and dies with newly released stamps and dies. For this adorable card I used the Homespun Birdhouse Die-namics along with the new Winter Wreath.
I took a couple photos from different angels and close up so you can see how I made this dimensional. First of all I will tell you that the Wreath Die is too big for the little bird house as it is, so I simply snipped one little sprig off each one that I cut out and glued it together. You would never know if I hadn't told you. Second, I cut the main large piece of the birdhouse in dark gray cardstock and added dimensional adhesive to pop it up a bit as well as some on the wings. If I were using just one bird I would be able so sit it inside the the two layers of the birdhouse and have it peaking out from the inside. You can also cut apart the sprigs on the wreath and use it as nesting material and it would be super cute!
