Hope Your Birthday Is Simply Wonderful

Hello and welcome to week 2 of CR84FN, we have a beautiful color pallet for you to work with.  This soft color combination worked perfectly for a card that I needed for my friends birthday.  I have some news to share with you all.  After two years of CR84FN, Mona has decided to close down the challenge.  It takes a lot of time to run a challenge site and at this time she would like to devote her time to her own blog and craft.  I do not blame her one bit.  Her and her husband have spent many hours searching for colors and coming up with the graphics for the challenge blog, typing the posts and everything else that goes along with the responsibility.  That is time they could have spent together or Mona on her own creative journey.  I am honored to have been a part of this amazingly talented group of ladies from the beginning.  Thank you Mona for having me on the team.  I will miss you all!

WARNING: This is a photo heavy post.  :)

This is the inside of the card.  I did not want to make the front of the card too busy with a sentiment, so I decided to pretty up the inside.  I did go back and add the cute little tea cup die to the bottom left corner after I wrote my personal message.

If you look close you can see I used some mulberry paper for the leaves.  I like the different texture that it adds to the flower.

This is a photo of the card and a cute little tag I made for the gift bag.

I have loved this darling little stamp and matching die set from MFT from the moment I saw it!  :)

Here is a close up of the pretty flower that I made using mulberry paper.  It is a Rolled Rose and a couple layers from Flower Medley.

I am entering this into the Mojo Monday sketch challenge.

  8. Heather this card and tag is absolutely gorgeous! I love the color combination along with the paper patterns you chose and the flower is stunning! I will certainly miss Mona's challenge blog and all the beautiful creations by the DT. It was a place where I was guaranteed inspiration, but I understand how time consuming it must have been for her and her husband. It will just mean making more stops here!!
    Have a great day! xxx

I sure enjoyed Mona's blog when I had time to play more and I'm sure there are many faithful followers who will miss it...but I certainly understand! Creating needs to be a joy, not a job, huh? 18. Every detail is wonderful! The inside could be a card all on its own. Glad you shared all the photos. The teacup is darling and so nice to have a matching die. Beautiful handmade flower, too. I know a lot of people will miss this challenge, but I sure can understand the need to redirect your focus once in a while.
