HAPPY BIRTHDAY ELISE!!
So, something is going on with my Picasa. When I crop a picture it makes it blurry. I have used Picasa as long as I have blogged. The uncropped picture is not blurry, only after I crop it does it get blurry. I take my pictures in my light tent and just crop the sides. So there is very little cropping from the original picture. Is anyone else having this issue? It is very frustrating. I do know it isn't my camera. I have ruled that out. I am not doing anything different than I have done for years. I am bummed. I really like how this one turned out and you can't see the details.
I ordered some new pretty Vintage Brads from a Stampin' Up friend. They were pretty dark metal, so I decided to paint them with some white acrylic paint and then wipe off the tops. I like the soft look it gave the brads..
I used the sketch at Card Patterns. If you are ever in need of a great sketch...you need to start here.
Make sure to stop by Elise's blog and tell her Happy Birthday.
Thanks so much for stopping by,
Heather

ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty card.. That flower is soooo pretty. And the DP you used here look beautiful.. Gives it a fresh feeling..
ReplyDeleteI use picasa also.. I do think something is going on.. I can't get my photos to post from picasa.. That is how I have always done it.. So know I load my photo on to my post right from my computer. Not picasa.. I haven't had time to see why.. I don't get a lot of craft time so I hate spending it trying to figure out my computer..
Maybe this weekend I will..
Hugs, Linda

LOVE all the PTI on your card!!! What is that thing called that you have the card sitting on in the second picture? I've been trying to find one but it's tough when I don't know what it is exactly!
ReplyDeleteI don't use Picasa for editing, so I'm no help. But, how frustrating! Have you ever tried Picnic? You can use basic editing features for free through Flickr.

ReplyDeleteOh, DEAR! Oh, dear, ohhhhhhhh dear! I'm STILL in shock about this entire, benevolent/wonderful/AMAZING event! {I'm sorry it too me so long to get by! My hands were, literally, seizing up, from all the typing!} I am just BLOWN away - still weeping a little {with joy!} and JUST so humbled and happy! I am POSITIVELY thrilled that you were able to partake of this EXTREMELY sweet birthday LOVE festival! It really helped take the sting out of my advancing age! hee hee SERIOUSLY - Heather, your card craft is SO outstanding! To think that ONE tiny corner of this was crafted with ME in mind: I just can't describe how TRULY honored I am... {But that won't stop me from trying - of COURSE!} Anyway, love bug - THIS card looks terrific to me FROM EVERY ANGLE you have here! I'm sorry you're frustrated with the cropping/picasa! I have to confess I haven't dabbled with it much, but I have friends who swear by the photo editing! I'd say, try GOOGLE-ING the problem and see what you get! In ANY case - I can see clearly ENOUGH to see HOW exquisite every detail looks and THAT brad is simply the stuff of the craftiest DREAMS! Brilliant! Oh, girl! I love every inch of THIS card! However, I must qualify with a "most of all" by saying... the fact that you took crafty time from your own plate and shared it with me: *swoon!* All I know is that this is just about the best BIRTHDAY gift I can remember! I am TRULY touched in the deepest part of my crafty soul! YOU are such a treasure to me, Heather! I'm SOOOOOOOOOOOO, so, so, so BEYOND delighted that our crafty/life paths have crossed and my plan is to KEEP YOU! For as long as I can! {LOL!} THANKS, again, dear girl - for ALL of the love, thoughtfulness and ultimately, the gift of your friendship! xoxoxox!
