Flowers Feed the Soul

We are in need of a lot of rain here.  We have had hot and dry conditions for over a month now.  My poor flowers are not looking their best.  I totally believe the sentiment that I used on today's card.  I love to work in the yard tending to my beautiful flowers, it definitely feeds the soul.  Do you like to work in your yard?

This weeks Timeless Tuesday #122 hostess is  Maki and she is challenging us to use Circles and Squares.  Use a circle & square shape into your card/project. You can use as many as circles and squares but you have to use both shapes.

I used my new Basic Grey Sweet Threads paper and the set from Flourishes called From the Garden.  Pretty satin ribbon from Offray and Spellbinders dies Classic Circles and Eyelet Circles.  I used Copics V04, V12, YG03, YG93, G21 W1, E31, E33.  I started stitching on my card and my machine went all crazy on me.  I even went a little off when I stitched the top of the card.  I guess that is what I get for sewing in the dark using only the light on the machine.  hehe

To get me my cirlce and square shape I used the sketch at SFYTT.

PLEASE TAKE NOTE – PARTICIPATION RULES: Just leave a comment on the blog posts of each of the Timeless Tuesday designers!  Then link your card by using the Inlinkz widget HERE, and leave a comment letting us know that you’ve left your comments and linked your card.

  18. Really like the different papers you've put together. And, your sewing looks fine. I like it sometimes when it's a little wobbly--it adds to the character of the card :)

  20. this is gorgeous. I was just reading your comment about needing rain in your part of the continent, please take some of ours! In Raincouver we have had so much much rain we're all pretty sick of it. It seems plants need sunshine as well as mine are all leaves with few flower heads.

  21. Hi Heather. I hope you are doing well. Beautiful card! I love that set. I dont' think I've seen that dp yet. I will have to check it out. I wish I had a green thumb. I tried a many years back, but the bugs were such and issue, and after spending all that money on plants that didn't do well, I gave up. Now that we have the new house, I would love to find some plants that are perennials. I need to stop by a local garden center and get some advice. Scorching here as well in Houston, we had a new record for reaching triple digits in early June a few weeks ago. Stay cool my friend!
