Celebrate Today & Everyday

TGIF!  Whew...I made it through another week.  I needed a card for a coworker's birthday and decided to use a set that I finally broke down and bought.  I have loved the Autumn Abundance set since it came out and just never did get it.  I knew I had to before fall.  Since my coworker's birthday is in mid August I thought this was perfect.  Don't you?


I love the way it turned out minus the sewing around the card.  My stinkin' sewing machine tension is too tight.  It doesn't seem to matter how much I adjust it, it still stays the same.  I might have to break down and take it in for a clean and tune up.


I used the brilliant step by step instructions that Debbie Olson has on her blog post.  You must check it out.  She is amazing with the Copic markers.
I also used the sketch at Taylored Expressions.  It isn't a sketch challenge it is the sketch they used for the TE hop this month.  I just thought it was perfect for what I needed though and I wanted to give her credit for her sketch.

    This is gorgeous, Heather! LOVE muted colors paired with that stunning ribbon! LOVE your cast shadow from the flowers in the pitcher, too! That is excellent!

    BTW - I don't know if this will help but there are some Youtube Videos that show you how to clean and fix your tension on your sewing.. Just go to Youtube and do a search..

    WOW - how do you color like that? You will note that I don't. This is beautiful and she will be thrilled to receive it!

    Your stitching looks great, however, I know how you feel. My machine could use some work too - but I don't know if I can bear to be without it for a while!

    Besides your perfect coloring you're also brilliant with your use of distress ink. You always add a subtle shade and it;s perfect. These PP are grogeous and I love your use of buttons :)
