After seeing this ribbon on Melissa's blog last week I just had to order some for myself.  It came from Marilyn Healy's Etsy Shop.  Fabulos vintage goodies going on over there.

Playdate Cafe Challenge #18

Yeah, it is friday!  It has been a long week.  I had alot of fun making this card for Playdate Cafe.  Again,  I used some old and new  K & Company paper .  I don't have black anything...or so I thought.  I found a pad of old K & CO Mansion.  Perfect!  It has that vintage look to it.  The image is also from that same pack.  I was very happy, this came together rather quickly for me.

I used my Glimmer Mist in Wheatfields to age the paper, doily and ribbon.  It is a perfect color for aging.  One of my new favorite products.   That stamp in the upper right hand corner is from Making Memories.

Supplies:
Cardstock: PTI/ Rustic Cream
Patterned Paper: K& Company
Ribbon: Twill Tape/ Offrey
Glitter: Martha Stewart/ Onyx
Button: Repurposed

2 Sketches 4 You #46

Happy Wednesday!  We are halfway throught the week.  My card today is for 2 Sketches 4 You.  Laura's sketch this week.  I will say this took a bit to put together.  You ever have a time when you know what you want, but it just isn't coming together?  I was finally happy with the end result.  I used  my Cosmo Cricut paper that I had been hoarding.  It was just too cute to use.  I promised myself I would start using my older purcheses.  We are moving in 2 and a half months and I will probably go through and purge of alot.  I can't decide if I should just give it away or sell it.  What do you think?  I don't know if anyone would want older products for a giveaway.  Tell me what you think.

I also used my new stamp set from PTI called Butterfly Dreams.  So many beautiful butterflies.  I can't wait to get my dies that goes with it.  They were all gone in less than a half hour!  I had to hand cut these.  I will say I did pretty darn good.  I have had loads of problems cutting too close previously.

Supplies: Cardstock: PTI/ Sweet Blush
Patterned Paper: Cosmo Cricket/ Girl Friday
Ribbon: American Crafts
Ink: PTI/ Raspberry Fizz, Spring Moss, Aqua Mist
Rhinestones: Hero Arts
Spellbinders Nestabilities: Long Classic Rectangles

Thanks so much for taking time to stop by

CPS 155

Happy Sunday everyone.  We didn't get all that snow we were worrying about.  It went to the south of us.  Whew!  I made this card for the CPS challenge.  I really like the sketch more after I got the card finished.  I found my OLD Anna Griffin paper. Beautiful floral patterns.  Vintage is back in style right now in the papercrafting world.  I got an Ephemera Pack from K&Company at Michael's the other day.  I found this cute little quilt raffle ticket and piece of cardboard inside.  All kinds of goodies in this bag.  I sprayed the card and ribbon in my new Wheatfields Glimmer Mist.  I love the drips of mist on the raffle ticket

Cardstock: PTI/ Vintage Cream
Patterned paper: Anna Griffin
Lace: Paper Studio
Ribbon: Twill tape

JUGS

Well, the week is over and It is time to play.  I just love the colors at JUGS this week.  Peach use to be my favorite color in my early teen years.  It was nice to combine my old fave and new fave colors.   I am always inspired by Mish at Mish Mash.  I just adore her style.  Feminine and good design.  To me, this card is a reflection on what I have taken from her style and made into my own.

I was very happy with the way it turned out.  This Basic Grey butterfly was adorable.  I stamped it in PTI's Raspberyy Fizz.  Then stamped it again in the glue pad and sprinkled Martha Stewart glitter in Crystal fine on the butterfly.  What do you think?

2 Sketches 4 You

Hello again.  Unfortunately I had to make a Sympathy card for my mom last night.  My Aunt...her sister passed away on Valentine's Day.  I knew I wanted it to be soft and I think the butterflies were fitting for this type of card.
My Aunt Rosie was a crafty gal herself.  She liked to crochet and bead as well as a few others.  Life is too short!  Remember to take that extra minute or two each day to tell your family and loved ones how much they mean to you.  You just never know when the last time will be.

I thought the colors at Curtain Call were just ther right ones.  Are they beautiful or what?
Supplies:
Cardstock: PTI/ Vintage Cream & mustard color is unknown
Patterned Paper: Cosmo Cricket
Felt: local craft store
Die: Spellbinders( felt flower)
Butterfly: Cricut / Indie Art (big) and MS punch (small)
Stamp: PTI/ Bloooming Button Bits
Button: Basic Grey
Floss: DMC

Thanks so much for stopping by and taking the time to leave me a comment.  I appreciate all the kind words you leave me.

CPS #154

Hello everyone.  How is your week so far?  It is still cold here, but we have sunshine.

I saw the CPS sketch and then saw the vintage goodies that they are giving away to the winner and I was excited.  I created a card using some of my own vintage looking goodies....including some old book paper sprayed with Tattered Rose and Pearl Glimmer Mist.  I had won Dana's blog givaway and in it was this book paper which she had already sprayed with some ink.  I just sprayed a little more one. I also sprayed the bingo card with the Tattered Rose.

I couldn't resist the pink!  I sprayed everything.  hehe.  I dug out a bunch of vintage embellishments for this card.  I have alot left over that I will just have to use on other cards.  Darn!  :D

Papertrey Ink Contest

Hello everyone.  Are you having a good weekend so far?  Well, I got on the computer this morning and saw that  Nicole  had a challenge on her blog.  I didn't get to participare all week beacuse they are due by the next morning and that just wasn't enough time for me to get them finished.  I spent all afternoon trying to decide what I was going to make, then putting it all together.  I was blog hopping around on the design team members blogs and saw  Michelle  had the cutest idea for the challenge.  You will have to go look at her blog and see where I got my project idea from.

I sprayed the doily with Tattered Rose Glimmer Mist, and die cut the flower on my Cuttlebug using tissue paper.  I cut the butterflies on my Cricut using the Indie Art cartridge on shadow at  2 1/2 and 2 inches.

It is 2 PTI envelopes stuck together and I made a cardstock base for the card itself then adhered it to the 2 envelopes.  Inside there is room to put paper and embellishments for your recipiant to make a card with.

I did put a little different color paper, embellishments and sentiment inside for my friend to use.   I am sure she wouldn't like to make the exact same card.  The felt is also cut on my Cuttlebug using a die cut.

Supplies:
Cardstock:  PTI/ Vintage Cream
Patterned Paper:  PTI/ Pretty Pastels
Stamps:  PTI/ Blooming Button Bits
Ink:  PTI/ Dark Chocolate, Spring Moss
Buttons:  Cosmo Cricket
Brads:  Making Memories/ crystal brads
Ribbon:  Twill tape/ Offrey

The Playdate Cafe #16

Good morning everyone.  How has your week been so far?  I saw a Robin yesterday and today my Cardinals are singing.  That hopefully means spring is coming soon.

I made a card last night for the Play Date Cafe.  I was wondering how I was going to pull it off with my usual pastel colors I use.  I am just a girly girl when it comes to most things so anything feminine is just my style.  I think I did ok.  What do you think?

This dragonfly is actually a sticker.  I got it at Archivers in the $1.99 spot over a year ago.  It says on the back of the packaging that it is EK Success.

I was having a hard time with the silver color and that is when I found this dragonfly and it has silver wire and beeds along with 2 shades of purple and red.  Perfect!  I used my Candy Apple Red Glimmer Mist on  the doily.

Supplies:
Cardstock: PTI/ Plum Pudding
Patterned Paper: PTI/ Pretty Pastels
Border Punch: Fiskars
Stamps: PTI/ Big and Bold Wishes
Ink: Martha Stewart for the purple and Tsuiniko for the red
Doily: cake section at Hobby Lobby
Crystals: Hero Arts
Ribbon: Target/ wedding section

2 sketches 4 you

Hello again!   Like I said before...lots O sunshine....good for making cards.   hehe.  I made a card for 2 Sketches 4 You.  Laura has a great sketch this week.

I am bad at hoarding my papercrafting supplies.  I buy some things and think they are just too pretty to use.  A couple years ago I bought some Making Memories Noteworthy paper and ALL of the embellishments to match.  They are just so feminine and Pink...my favorite color.  Well, I decided that is was time to use it.  I had my PTI Aqua Mist and Lavender Moon out and it looks like it was made for this patterned paper.  The colors matched perfectly.

Supplies:
Cardstock: PTI /Aqua Mist, Lavender Moon
Patterned Paper: Making Memories/ Noteworthy
Border punch: Fiskars/ apron lace
Ribbon: American Crafts
Flower die cut: Making Memories/ noteworthy
Button: Cosmo Cricket
Twine: PTI
Stamps: PTI/ Blooming Button Bits
Ink: PTI/ Dark Chocolate

Mojo Monday

Hello everyone.  It is sunny and bright here today.  Just don't step outside though...it is still only about 15 degrees.  Perfect day for cardmaking.  The light that is coming in my window is wonderful.
I made a card for the Mojo Monday sketch.  I have the color collection cardstock paper from Papertrey ink.  One color I have not used yet is Berry Sorbet....so guess what I used in my card?  I paired it with Ripe Avacado and Aqua mist.  I have always liked the look of the tea stained twill tape.  When I was out shopping at the craft store I bought some white twill tape and tea stained it myself.  I didn't leave it too long though.  I just wanted it to look aged...not dingy.  This worked perfect for my card.  The colors together is a citrus look, I think.

Supplies:
Cardstock: Papertrey Ink/ Berry Sorbet, Ripe Avacado, Vintage Creame
Patterned Paper: Making Memories/ Flea Market
Ribbon: Twill tape
Stamp: Hero Arts
Flower: Making Memories/ noteworthy
Button: Basic Grey
Scallop Circle: Spellbinders
Twine: Papertrey ink

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Enjoy the rest of your week.

Papertrey sponsered CPS challenge

NOTE:  This is the second post for the day....so please scroll down to see my other post.

Hello again.  I told you I was going to be making cards today.  hehe!  I made a card for the CPS challenge sponsered by Papertrey ink.  As I mentioned in the previous post, I love thier stuff...all of it.  All the PTI girls are playing along this week too.
Here is my take on the sketch.  What do you think?  I am, as I said before a pink lover, and for some reason lately am lovin this Lavender Moon color.

So go on over and take a whirl at it.  Simple sketch that you can fancy up if you like.  I was so happy that I got all the dots to line up correctly.  This was a huge problem I was having.  I love PTI background stamps, but they DO take alot of practice.  Patience isn't one of my stong points, but I guess I must have had enough to get this accomplished.
Supplies:
Carstock: PTI/ Lavender Moon, Vintage Cream, Aqua Mist
Stamps: PTI/ Polka Dot Basics II, Blooming Button Bits
Ink: PTI/ Dark Chocolate, Raspberry Fizz
Border Punch: EK Success
Heart: Cricut/ Storybook
Felt Heart: Making Memories
Button: unknown
Twine: PTI
Ribbon: Target

Hey There

Hello everyone.  How is the weather where you are?  We are getting more snow.  Again!  I have seen so many pictures on peoples blogs where they have 28 inches of snow.  Crazy!  We have not got that much but it just keeps on a coming.  All the more reason for me to make cards.  haha.
I made a card for the sketch at JUGS and the colors from Colour Q.  These colors are so spring like.  I guess I am just ready for spring.

I love my new PTI stamps and paper.  This is the best cardstock ever.  I just wish I would have found it long ago.  Even my neighbor noticed a difference in my cards.  She said it was alot heavier.  The weight difference of PTI cardstock compared to others is unbelieveable.  I have found myself not buying as much patterned paper or embellishment since I have buying more PTI supplies.  Then I saw on Nicole's blog today that she is going to have her own felt, embossing plates, and dies.  WOW!  I can't wait.  I am just like a child wanting  new toys.

Supplies:
Cardstock: PTI/Rustic Cream, Spring Rain, Vintage Cream, Ripe Avacado
Patterned paper: Cosmo Cricket/ Ever After
Stamps: PTI/ Blooming Button Bits, Big and Bold Wishes
Ink: PTI/ Raspberry Fizz, Spring Moss
Button: Basic Grey
Twine: PTI
