Sending You Birthday Wishes

Hello my sweet friends.  I had more time to play again today.  I had ordered a bunch of PTI stuff last release and finally got around to playing with them.

I have had a big roll of Burlap sitting on my craft room floor for 2 months now.  I finally decided to use my new leaf dies from PTI that go with the Sending You set.  Let me tell you how much I love this set and all the sentiments that are in it as well.  The banner die and stitching stamp that I used around the edge of the flag is from Lil Inker called Sentiment Flags.  That is a great set too, and I find that I reach for it often...especially the die.

I am also loving my new Crate Paper 6x6 pack called Portrait Collection.  I added a pretty Prima flower, a stick pin that I made, some PTI satin ribbon in Fine Linen and a little bit of lace.  I love how this turned out.  What do you think?

Just Because

I wanted to share a card I made tonight....just because I wanted to.  No sketch or color challenge.  Just Because!  I have been waiting to have time to color these beautiful Lenten Roses, otherwise known by it's botanical name as  Hellebore.  As soon as I saw the release, I knew this set would be mine.

Let me tell you, this took a while for me to color.  I am no Pro when it comes to Copic coloring.  Everything I know is self taught.  I just know I LOVE to color.  I could do this for hours....wait...I do, do this for hours.  hehe.  I am sure a lot of you girls do the same thing.  Right?

You can find this set HERE  in the store at Flourishes.

These are the Copic colors I used.

Well, this is short and sweet tonight.  I am off to watch TV with my hubby.  Got fit it all in...somehow!

Want 2 Scrap/Nestabling

Hello.  I hope you are all starting your Monday off right.  It has been raining and cooler here this whole weekend.  I am ready for Spring.  I think that is why I chose this pretty paper that goes so well this the fabulous Turquoise Nestabling for my Fancy Tags Two.

Oh, look how pretty it is right up front on my card.  These are wonderful to frame up a nice sentiment on a card and make it look special.  There are so many beautiful rhinestones and pearls to bling up your most popular Spellbinders Dies.  Keep an eye out in the store.  They should be in stock very soon!!   I can't wait.

I hope you have a wonderful week.  I am hoping for a warm up or even a little sun to come my way.

Hello.  It is CR84FN time again.  We have another color challenge for you.  Let me tell you this one was a challenge for me.  I realized I didn't own anything the color Garnet.  I even went to the craft store and couldn't find anything.  I did however have some Scarlet Jewel ink from PTI that was perfect.  So away I stamped with my Waltzingmouse Lables 10.  I also used some of my new Want 2 Scrap pearls on the tag.

Make sure you stop by the rest of the DT's blogs and see what they have for you.  I also want to say thank you to Deb Hickman for being our guest Designer for the month of March.  She did an amazing job each and every challenge.

Tea Time / PTI Blog Hop

I didn't fall off the Earth.  I promise.  I have been working more the last 3 weeks.  So finding crafty/visiting time is hard.  I did have time to make a card and participate in the PTI blog hop.  The challenge is to use embroidery floss in an inventive way.  I am not sure this is so inventive, but it works.  All this twine you are seeing around is the same thing as embroidery floss.  I have both and they are exactly the same.  I decided to wrap mine around this cute little jar from the set called Friendship Jar.  I love the Tea For Two set and thought the sentiment would go perfectly.

I have Iced Tea every day for lunch and dinner, so this was a match made in heaven for me.
AND...I keep all my pasta sauce, and jelly jars, wash them out and use them for my iced tea.  I even have about 6 jars that look exactly like the Ball Jars with the handle.  My wonderful neighbor in Iowa saved them all after her jelly was gone.  She actually gave them to my son because she thought he would like to drink out of them.  Well, little does she know that I use them daily.  hehe   I think Mish had a wonderful idea when she designed this set.

I have wanted to use this pretty Crete Paper from the 6x6 pad called Emma's Shoppe from the moment I received it in the mail.  It just screams Shabby Chic to me.  I have horribly been neglecting my shabby side lately.  Although I love to color, I still am a Shabby girl at heart.

I used this fabulous sketch from Card Patterns.

I can't wait to see what everyone else has created for the hop.

Bravo/ Blog Giveaway Winner

It has been way too long since I made a pink card.  I was challenged to do this sketch, because I don't have any banner stamps.  I improvised and used a little die that I have by Lil Inker and cut out pieces of sheet music.  I used the sketch at Waltzing Mouse this week.

Okay, I have fallen victim to the banners.  I guess I am going to have to break down and buy a stamp set with banners.  Does anyone have a favorite that they recommend?

CR84FN

Hello.  It is time for another CR84FN color challenge.  This weeks colors are Plum, Lavender and Green.  I have to say my main paper is looking a little Chartreuse.  It is actually the Everyday Blessings paper from PTI.  The color is a pattern paper in Spring Moss.  I am wondering if I took the pic in natural light instead of my light tent if it would look a little more true to color.  I just might do that in the morning.
I used the pretty set from Flourishes called Hello Hyacinth.  I used Pumice Stone Distress ink from Ranger,  pretty lace from Wrights, and a little flower from Prima.

The wonderful inspiration picture come from Embrace Life Photo.

Blinged up....Altered Tin

Hello again.  I am back today to share a cute little tin that I altered for my Want 2 Scrap project this week.  I used a lot of bling on this little thing.

You can stop by over at the Want 2 Scrap blog and check out the whole project.  I enjoyed making something non card related.  I think you will be seeing a lot more projects soon.

From the chipboard piece to all the pretty pearl bling, you can find it all in the store.  I filled the cute tin with some yummy Dark Chocolate.  I fit almost the whole bag inside.  You could put all sorts of things inside here.  I originally wanted to make a little set of small cirlce cards with my Spellbinders dies and store them inside.  I have another one of these things somewhere.  My craft room is a MESS.  I think I need to clean before I make another card.  hehe.

Thank You

Hello my sweets.  I am back again.  I am so happy I found some crafty me time.  I made a card for this weeks sketch at Mojo Monday and for the Timeless Tuesday challenge at Flourishes, which is to use a butterfly.  If you visit me often, then you know that butterflies are something you see here a lot.  This was a perfect challenge for me.

When I tied the bow for the corner I just tied it around one of my stamp pads and cut it right in the middle of the back, so I could glue it to the back of the Kraft mat I used on this card.  I found it was the best way to get it to stay put and not move around on the card.  I did turn the sketch on its side.  I love having cards open different ways.

Supplies:
Cardstock: PTI/Rustic White, Kraft
DP: My Minds Eye/Stella Rose
Stamps: Flourishes/Butterflies and Blossoms
Seam Binding: Memrie Mare Etsy
Button, Twine: PTI
Pearls: Want 2 Scrap
Copics: R81, R83, R85, R39, G21, G23, YG03, YG93, YG95, G00, B000, BG23, Y38
Inks: Memento/Tuxedo Black, Tim Holtz/Tumbled Glass
Spellbinders Dies: Classic Circles, Eyelet Circles

CR84FN

Hello my sweet friends.  I am finally back to share another creation with you.  This has been quite the week for me.  Between work, my back, and allergies, I have been kept away from my craft room.  I am hoping that I get some time tomorrow.  Until then I have a card for this weeks CR84FN color challenge.

This week is our design team member Lisa's Birthday.  So make sure you stop by and tell her Happy Birthday.  Lisa, this is my birthday card to you.  :)
I used my new MME paper.  I love every page in these packs.  I also used some new paper printed leaves that I have been hoarding and Want 2 Scrap bling.  The stamp set is from PTI's Mat Stack 2.  I also used Tim Holtz distress ink in Pumice Stone.  My cardstock layer is grey as well as the sentiment.
Beautiful graphic to get you inspired.
Great sketch I used at My Minds Eye.  You must use 80% MME product....check!

Make sure you stop by the rest of the team's blogs to see what they have created for you.

Thanks To You/ CR84FN 18

Oh, I am so happy to be back and have something to share.  Tonight is the new color challenge at CR84FN.  I didn't think I was going to care for this combo so much, until I got to looking through  my papers and realized what fabulous papers I had for this weeks colors.

6

I used my beautiful new Prima bling and ribbon trim that I got from a wonderful online store I just found.  I got a bunch of new MME 6x6 paper packs, Scor Buddy, Websters Pages pack, and some cute stick pins.  I love to share when I find a great place to shop, becuase I always love when you share your fav places too.  Stamper's Dream is the online store I bought all these goodies at.  I have already found more new goodies I want to order from her.  This is a horrible addicting habbit to have.  Don't you agree?

I used the sweet butterfly from Layers of Color.  I also have a hodge podge of papers I used as well.  PTI Dotty Biscotti, October Afternoon Thrift Shop, My Minds Eye Mabel.  Spellbinders Lacy Circles die, and some seamp binding from Memrie Mare Etsy.  And of course I used my sewing machine to stitch all around the card.  Something I have become horribly addicted to.  Especially now that I am better at it.  I used Copic colors YR02, YR07, Y21, Y23.

The photos used in the graphic are curtesy of Embrace Life Photography.

With Sympathy

Hello again!  I feel horrible for not being around lately.  I have been working more the last two weeks.  I haven't found much crafting time...especially visiting time.  I finally got a card made just for fun tonight. Woohoo!

I used the sweet set from Flourishes called Year In Flowers 2.  This image is the Tiger Lilly.  I pulled up a pretty pciture from the internet to be my guid for the color of the lilly.  It didn't come out quite like I wanted.  I am okay with it though.  I am waiting for a bunch of new Copics to come in the mail.  Since they come from CA, I guess I will be waiting a few days.  I ordered a bunch of pinks and greens.  Those seem to be the colors I use most.

I had some Lillies just like these in my yard in Iowa.  I dug up all my flowers and gave them to my best freind and neighbor when I moved.  I could stand to leave them and have someone not appreciate them as much as I did.  I spent most of my spring and summer out in the yard careing for my flowers.  I added more and more every year.  I even gave a bunch to my Mother in Law.

Since I am in the south this spring, I bought a bunch of flower seed packages and I am going to plant them straight in the ground.  You can get a bigger variety of color if you grow them from seed.  I can't wait for them to grow.

I used this cute sletch from My Favorite Things.  I am loving the sweet stamps that are in my Flourishes set called Year In Flowers 2.

Heather
