City Crafter Challenge # 7

Hello everyone.  I am here to share with you my last card as DT at  City Crafter.  I used this adorable digi image from Digi Doodle Shop.  I thought this was the sweetest basket of flowers.  I love the different mix of roses, Lilacs, and Pansies.  June chose the challenge this week which is a button and a bow.
I am still practicing with the Copics.
Don't look too close.  Might have got out of the lines.  hehe
I sure will miss working with the girls at City Crafter.  They all have a wonderful style you definately need to check out.

Play Date Cafe / Just Us Girls / Mojo Monday

Happy Memorial Day weekend everyone.  Do you have any special plans this weekend?  My brother and his family are coming over tonight for dinner.  We are having some nice weather today.  The humidity is farily low and it isn't too hot. I made a card for 3 challenges.   The Playdate Cafe has a pretty color challenge and JUGS has a dry embossing technique challenge and the sketch is from Mojo Monday

I made the flower out of tissue paper and the color is a lot prettier in person than it shows up in the picture.
I sprayed the doily with 2 different Glimmer Mist colors.  I also cut the tag out on my Circut using Bags Tags Boxes and More

Supplies:
Cardstock:  PTI/ Vintage Cream
DP: Basic Grey
Seam Binding: Memrie Mare
Cuttle Bug: Embossing Folder

Hello my wonderful blog friends.  Are you having a great week so far?  I saw these fabulous new digi images the other day and just knew I had to have a go at them.  If you know me and my blog I am not a huge digi user.  No reason in particular...I think I am not the best with the Copics, so I stay away.  I need to practice and what better way than with Stitched With Love from the wonderful designer Nina Brackett.

You can visit Nina's blog here.
I made this card for Card Patterns.  Perfect sktch for my digi image...don't ya think?

City Crafter Challenge # 6

Hello again!  It is time for another challenge at City Crafter Challenge Blog and the theme is a recipe.  1 ribbon, 2 papers, and 3 flowers.  I made my card using an adorable vintage image from The Vintage Moth.

I made another pin and decided to use a copper toned one.  What do you think?  I think it looks more vintage with that metal tone.  I also used my tea stained twill that I dyed myself.  I just think I am not into trying to dye seam binding.  That is too much of a mess.  I wouldn't be happy if I have dye everywhere.

Supplies:
Cardstock: PTI/ Kraft
DP: Cosmo Cricket/ Fly a Kite & Thrift Shop
Image: Vintage Moth
Stamp: PTI/ Big and Bold Wishes
Other: Flowers, Pearls, Hand Dyed Seam Binding

Thanks so much for stopping by.

Play Date Cafe # 30

Happy Friday everyone!  I love Fridays.  I just hope my son sleeps in tomorrow morning.  Since we moved he has to get up an hour early and getting up at 5:30 am is just too early for me.

My Friend Mona has picked a beautiful color combination this week at the PDCC.  I love these colors together.  It just screams spring!

I am in love with my new PTI sets Anniversary and Just For You.  I will definitely be using these alot.  Hope you don't get tired of seeing them.  Look at the vine on my little tag.  LOVE IT!
I made another pin using some of my mom's Swarovski crystals.  I like making my own better because they don't have the point at the end.  I use head pins and put the beads on and then put a dab of glue at the end of the beads.  That's all!  Easy peasy.  What do you think?  If you make some of your own I would love to see.

Supplies:
Cardstock: PTI/ Spring Moss, Stampers White
DP: Basic Grey
Stamps: PTI/ Anniversary 2009, Just For You
Ink: PTI/ Spring Moss, Pink( Martha Stewart)
Seam Binding: Memerie Mare
Ribbon: Green, Target
Pin: Handmade by Me
Border Punch: Fiskars/ Apron Lace
Other: Button, Twine(PTI)

Thanks so much for visiting me today.

Movie Magic Blog Hop / CCCB #4 and A Whole Lot of Pink

Hello everyone.  I have a big post for you tonight.  I have a card I made with Nina's Vintage Backgrounds set.  You can get it at Gina K.  I also used the digi background paper found Here.  The card is to be based off a favorite movie.  Well guess what mine is?  Rewind back to 1986.....Pretty In Pink!  I have loved that movie since it came out.  I have probably watched it 50 times.

Did you happen to notice that I didn't use any ribbon?  I realized that when I finished.  Sometimes a card is just fine without it.  I didn't feel like it was missing anything.  Do you?
I also made this card for CCCB .  This was my week to host and I chose my favorite colors...PINK.  I was so lucky Leslie from  A Creative Mint let us use her wonderful photograph.  Thank you Leslie.  Please stop by City Crater Challenge Blog and play along.  I would love to see many many pink cards.  hehe.
Supplies:
Cardstock: PTI Vintage Cream
DP: Nina Brackett Digi paper/ Argyle
Stamps: Nina Bracket/Gina K/ Vintage Backgrounds
Inks: Martha Stewart/ Pink Geranium, Stem Green & Memento/ Rich Cocoa
Image: Vintage Image
Pearls: Mark Richards

Thanks so much for all your support here on my blog.  I couldn't do it without all my blog friends and all your wonderful comments!

Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day everyone!  I hope you all are having a wonderful day.  My Brother and Sister in Law are coming over for dinner.  I get to spend my Mother's Day with my mom and SIL.  My brother is going to cook for all of us.  That will be 8 total between my mom and dad and my brothers family and mine.

I made this for the new Card Patterns challenge.  I loved the sketch and knew I had to make my mom's card using this sketch and my new Anniversary set from PTI.  Did I mention how much I love this set too?  I LOVE it.  I hadn't been ordering long enough to get the anniversay set so I had to order it on E Bay.  I was 2 sets away from getting it.  Which definately didn't make me happy at all.  I really like how it turned out.  I debated on using Cream or Sweet Blush cardstock and decided on the Sweet Blush.  Since there was very little paper her I though it needed colored cardstock.

Supplies:
Cardstock: PTI/ Sweet Blush
Stamps: PTI/ 2009 Anniversary set
DP: Making Memories
Nestabilities: Scalloped Ovals, Standard Circles
Seam Binding: Bluebird Lane Etsy
Other: Lace, Gemstones, Button

Card Patterns/ Vintage Backgrounds

Hello everyone.  Have you had a good week so far?  I made a card for Card Patterns  and the challenge over at Jenny's blog Wee Memories using some of Nina Brackett's set called Vintage Backgrounds.  Let me tell you a circle card is not that easy.  I did manage to pull it off though.  I think.  hehe.

What do you think?  Did it turn out okay?  I used the dot and the text stamp from Nina's Vintage Backgrounds for this card.  I especially like the text on the flower.

Supplies:
Cardstock: PTI/  Vintage Cream
DP: Cosmo Cricket (old)
Stamps: Nina Brackett's Vintage Backgrounds
Seam Binding: Bluebird Lane Etsy
Ink: PTI/ Spring moss
Other: Button, Twine, Paper Flower

CPS / Shabby Tea Room

Happy Hump Day!  It is Wednesday and half the week is gone already.  Time is flying.  My son started this week at his new school here in Alabama.  He seems to like it so far.  Which makes me happy.

I made this card for 2 challenges this week.  CPS and The Shabby Tea Room.  At the Tea Room the challenge was Glitter.  Oh how I love glitter.  I think I don't use enough of it.  I printed this image off and used Martha Stewart glitter in Smokey Quartz.
I finally found a good spot to take pictures.  I am thrilled.  What do you think?  Does it look good on your end?

Supplies:
Cardstock: PTI/ Vintage Cream

Mojo Monday/ Shabby Tea Room

Hello everyone.  Sorry I have been away for a bit.  We didn't get good news for my mom.  She had her Brain Biopsy last week and they are saying she has Brain Cancer.  I haven't felt much like making cards they last few days.  She is home now and doing ok.  I took some time today to make a card for Mojo Monday and The Shabby Tea Room.  Loved the Circle card sketch and the theme is "Comforts of Home" over at The Shabby Tea Room.
I have a Collection of Tea Cups and Tea Pots. They are definately a comfort to my home.
I used my Cricut to cut the cirlce shaped card.  I am in love with my PTI set Tea For Two.

Supplies:
Cardstock: PTI/ Hawaiian Shores & Craft, American Crafts/Plum
DP: PTI/ Dotty Biscotti
Stamps: PTI/ Tea For Two
Cricut Cartridge: Wild Card
Seam Binding/ Blue Bird Lane Etsy
Flower: Prima
Lace

Thanks so much for all the prayers and well wishes for my mom.  She has had more people pray for her and give her hugs ever.  You can never have too many of either.  I appreciate each and every one of you for taking the time to stop by.
