Hello everyone. I am all packed and loaded up and we are on the move. I am not looking forward to the 14 hour drive though. Our plan is to stop somewhere in Bloomington, IL. then we will only have about 5 hours the next day. Plans change though. It all depends what time we get out of her in the morning. The later we leave may change that.
Say a prayer or send me well wishes. These kinds of things give me a lot of anxiety. I will feel better when we get there.
Hugs,
Heather

CR84FN 39/ A Note of Thanksgiving
Hello. I have my craft room packed up now. We will be heading out first thing Thursday morning, but won't get there until Friday. I can't tell you how excited I am. So sad to see all the great challenges and not be able to play along. I did however make my CR84FN card early so I wouldn't miss out on all the fun. We have some pretty fall colors this week.
I used the beautiful new set from Flourishes called A Season of Thanks. Such amazing fall/Thanksgiving designs. I am happy to know that I have one Thanksgiving card made already.

It's Your Day
Guess what? I squeezed in a little crafty time in between packing. My sweet blog friend Kim designed a sketch over at Papercraft Star so I decided to play along. This post will be short and sweet! :)
I have been going a little crazy with the MME papers lately so I used some Crate Paper paper and my PTI Mat Stack 4 and Tag Its # 2. I removed the crochet center of the flower and added a button instead. I think it looks better that way.

Flourishes Timeless Tuesday 136 / All Dolled Up
WOW! I can't believe it has been a week since I posted last. I have been busy trying to work ahead on my DT cards. I think I am all caught up. Hopefully I will have time to make a few just for fun before I have to pack up my craft room.
I am back again today for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday. This week Betty is challenging us to get "All Dolled Up". So that I did. I added a bunch of pearl bling and used my shimmer gel pen to add shine to the necklace.
What do you think about this beautiful new set called Feminine Charm? I love it. So classy and sophisticated.
You can see the shine I added to the necklace in this photo.

Timeless Tuesday 135
Hello my sweet and wonderful blog friends. Are you having a good week so far? This week Beate is our challenge hostess with the mostess at Flourishes Timeless Tuesday. The challenge:
Shaped Cards:
Let's mix it up a bit. Make anything but a regular shaped card. It can be a circle, oval or even a square card.

Okay...so making shaped cards is not my thing. I don't have any of the Grand Dies from Spellbinders and I was too lazy to get my Cricut Expressions going again. So I made the most out of it by using the largest die out of the Scalloped Circles LG. I used an image from Cherry Blossom.
This is the inside of my card. I put the sentiment on the inside since it didn't fit on the outside.

Moving / Witches Brew
I keep meaning to tell you all that I will be moving in 3 weeks. We feel it is in the best interest of my son to go home and get him back into the same school he was at. I don't feel as though they are meeting his needs. Since my mom passed away in June I have been feeling a little lost and lonely. I have my friends and In Laws in Iowa that I miss terribly. I believe we will all be happier when we get back. I miss a "true" winter with snow on the ground for the holidays....I miss the beautiful colored leaves in the fall. I am also planning ahead so all my DT work is finished and I will schedule my posts ahead of time. You might not even know I am gone. :)

Speaking of fall. We will get back just in time for Halloween. I have wanted to make a Halloween card since I got my My Minds Eye: Mischievous 6x6 pack of paper. I also got the Friendship Jar Filler set from PTI last year and never used this image. So stinkin' cute...don't ya think? Love it!
I used my Sakura gel pen to make the stars sparkle. I hope you can see it...I took as close a picture I can get. I used an array of Copic markers to color this image. Y23, YR23, YR24, YR02, YR07, E37, E39, BG01, B000, W1, C3, 100, 0

CR84FN 38
It is time for a new color challenge at CR84FN. I have to say that this was not my favorite color combination when I first saw the graphic. BUT, when I pulled out my new MME paper and and PTI stamps...it came together perfectly and I absolutely LOVE it! I don't think I have liked a card as much as I do this one in a long time. I knew what papers and stamps I wanted to use when I sat down and it just worked. Don't ya love it when that happens? I sure do!
Do you see that pretty lace? My sweet blog friend Stella sent that to me along with a beautiful card. I thought when I put the dress form die cut on the Mat Stack label that it just got lost so I punched out a piece of black cardstock and placed it in the center. It made the image and hand cut sentiment stand out a lot better. Do you agree?
Another amazing quote Scott found. I love these things. They all seem so true for me.
Supplies:
Cardstock: PTI/Rustic Cream, Black
DP: My Minds Eye/Lost and Found
Stamps: PTI/ Dress Form, Mat Stack 3
Inks: PTI/Rasperry Fizz, Memento: Tuxedo Black
Ribbon: Seam Binding
Lace: From fellow blogger Stella

Timeless Tuesday 134
Wow time is flying by soo fast. It is time for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday and Maki is challenging us to use water. Here are the details:
Use water into your card/project. You can use images and/or elements that include water or use any techniques that include water as its supplies (for examples : water coloring, misted BG with water, water color wash).

I used the cute new set from Flourishes called Sweet Days of Summer. I don't know how to water color and this was the only image that I own from Flourishes that has water. I hope you don't mind another Silhouette card again. I didn't think about that ahead of time.
I also didn't put a sentiment on it. I didn't think it would fit nicely and also that way I can add it to the inside when I am ready to send it off. I realized the other day that I had way too many thank you cards and not many other occasions.
I used the JUGS sketch for my card tonight. I haven't played along with the girls in a long time and that was one of my first challenge sites I used. They are celebrating their 100th challenge.

Celebrate Fall
So, it is football time now and that means I head to my craft room. My hubby was watching the Iowa State game which doesn't interest me in the least. I am so happy to have a hobby that I can go do while he enjoys the games. I am sure he likes it too...I am not standing in the way or talking too much.
I am thinking by now you can tell I have a horrible addiction to the new My Minds Eye papers. I found 4 of the 6x6 packs at Hobby Lobby, but only bought 3 of them (Union Square, Market Street, and Portobello Road). These are last years lines, but they just made them in 6x6 packs to my knowledge. I was shocked to see they also had a lot of the new SB dies too.
I used the new sketch at Card Patterns. I love making horizontal cards and this is a great sketch for that. You can see that I used the ribbon and bow instead of flowers to the right of the circle. That just wasn't going to work for me and the image I wanted to use. For some reason I see the sketch isn't up on the blog yet. I found it on Silke's blog who is guest designing for them this week.
Supplies:
Cardstock: PTI/Rustic Cream (base) and Kraft(mat)
DP: My Minds Eye/Lost and Found (Breeze, Sunshine)
Stamps: Flourishes/ Seasonal Wreaths
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Tim Holtz distress ink Vintage Photo & Fine Linen
Copics: YR21, YR23, YR 24, E31, E33, E37, YG93, YG 95, YG97, BVoo, BV02
Ribbon: Burnt Sienna by Offray
Twine: PTI, Rustic Cream
Spellbinder's Dies: Standar Circles LG, Lacy Circles
Pearls: KaiserCraft (cream and colored them with YG97 Copic marker)
Border Punch: Martha Stewart
Machine Stitching
