Flourishes Timeless Tuesday 133

Wow!  This has been quite the week for me.  I have so much going on and will share that with you soon.  Today I am showing you a card that I made for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday.  This week Silke is challenging us to a game of Bingo.

I just realized when I went to type my post up that I must be loving my Fine Linen ribbon lately...what do you think?  Funny hu?  I used the new FLIP set called With Gratitude.  You can find out how to get this beautiful set HERE.  I used Copic markers Y21, Y23, YR21, YR 35, G21, YG03, B000.  Cardstock is PTI Rustic White and Dark Chocolate.  Spellbinders dies Classic Ovals LG and Classic Scalloped Ovals LG, and Fancy Tags.  Designer paper is from My Minds Eye Lost and Found.

I chose the 3 straight down the center.  Piercing, Pearls, and Ribbon.  I have to say this is the first time that I have tried piercing and I was a little intimidated.  I think it turned out pretty good...don't you?

CR84FN 37

I am finally back to share a card I made for this weeks color combo at CR84FN.   I think I finally got my tension worked out on my sewing machine.  Don't ya think it looks a lot better?  I sure do.  I can't begin to tell you how frustrating it was having it mess up on me every time I did a straight stitch.

Again, I used my new pretty My Minds Eye paper from the Lost and Found Collection.  Do you see that cute little house?  That is one of my neglected PTI stamps.  I have had it for months and never used it.  Sad isn't it?

I also played along with this weeks sketch at Mojo Monday.

Supplies:
Cardstock: PTI/Rustic Cream, Ocean Tides, Kraft
DP: My Minds Eye/Lost and Found
Inks: PTI/Hawaiian Shores, Aqua Mist, Memento: Rich Cocoa
Ribbon&Twine: PTI Rustic White, Fine Linen
Border Punch: EkSucess
Border Die: PTI/Banner Border Dies
Machine Stitching

Flourishes Timeless Tuesday 132

It is Tuesday and that means it is time for another Timeless Tuesday Challenge.  This week Cindy is challenging us to be So Sentimental, have your sentiment/verse as your focal point.  I have to admit I almost never use a sentiment only and not color up one of my favorite Flourishes images, I  like the cleanness of the look though.  What do you think?

I used two different sets.  The sentiment came from Gerber Daisy and the sweet little butterfly is from Butterflies and Blossoms.

Supplies:
Cardstock: PTI RusticWhite, Kraft
DP: My Minds Eye/ Lost and Found
Stamps: Flourishes/Butterflies and Blossoms, Gerber Daisy
Ribbon: Offray satin ribbon in Buttermilk
Button and Twine: PTI Rustic White, Fine Linen
Lace: Prima

Happy Anniversary

Hello.  I hope you are all having a wonderful weekend.  Today my hubby and I are celebrating our 12th Anniversary together.  Time sure does fly by so fast.  I made this card for him using Flourishes Forest of Trees set.  He said this was my best masculine card yet.  Whew!  He definitely doesn't appreciate all the ribbon and bows I seem to add to every card I make.  :)

I did a good bit of sponging on this one.  I used Tim Holtz distress inks in Tumbled Glass, Shabby Shutters, Walnut Stain, and Antique Linen mixed with a little Vintage Photo.

Supplies:
Cardstock: PTI/Rustic Cream and Dark Chocolate, Stamper's Select White
DP:  MME
Stamps: Flourishes/Forest of Trees
Inks:  Tim Holtz distress inks stated above
Dies: SB Classic Squares LG, Lil Inker Banner
Sewing machine: Stitching

Sorry but this one is short and sweet.  I am off to make lunch.

Celebrate Today & Everyday

TGIF!  Whew...I made it through another week.  I needed a card for a coworker's birthday and decided to use a set that I finally broke down and bought.  I have loved the Autumn Abundance set since it came out and just never did get it.  I knew I had to before fall.  Since my coworker's birthday is in mid August I thought this was perfect.  Don't you?

I love the way it turned out minus the sewing around the card.  My stinkin' sewing machine tension is too tight.  It doesn't seem to matter how much I adjust it, it still stays the same.  I might have to break down and take it in for a clean and tune up.

I used the brilliant step by step instructions that Debbie Olson has on her blog post.  You must check it out.  She is amazing with the Copic markers.
I also used the sketch at Taylored Expressions.  It isn't a sketch challenge it is the sketch they used for the TE hop this month.  I just thought it was perfect for what I needed though and I wanted to give her credit for her sketch.

Supplies:
Cardstock: PTI/ Rustic Cream, Dark Chocolate
DP: MME/Lost and Found:Sunshine and Rosy
Stamps: PTI/ Autumn Aubundance
Ribbon: PTI/ Ocean Tides satin ribbon
Buttons: PTI/Fine Linen
Spellbinders Die: Classic Squares LG
Tag: Hand cut by me  :)
Copics:  I pretty much used what Debbie used on her post

Bloom Where You are Planted

What a week this has been so far.  I am still trying to get used to the new school schedule.  My poor son spends 3 hours a day on the bus if I don't take and pick him up.  The whole school system is a mess here.  It makes me really appreciate Iowa much more now.  So anyway....

I made a card for this weeks Card Patterns sketch.  This will work with just about anything.  As you can see I am putting my new MME papers to good use.

I am in love with the Blush 6x6 pack of MME papers.  Such beautiful vintage designs.  I used the cute little PTI Tag-its #3 set and a sweet bloom from Recollections.  The border punch is Martha Stewart and the doily die is from PTI.  The faint polka dot background that I stamped at the top is from Round and Round.

CR84FN 36

What a lazy Saturday I have had today.  It felt great to just sit and watch a little TV today.  With school starting this week and all the running around I've had to do, I really needed a lazy day.  I plan on getting in my craft room and making a card or two on Sunday.

I have a card to share with you that I made for the new CR84FN color challenge.  I was so excited when I saw all the new My Minds Eye Lost and Found 6x6 packs of paper.  I had to order them all.  I used the new Sunshine pack for this one.  LOVE the papers and I am afraid I am an addict.

Again I used the new Iconic Images set from PTI.  I wanted to use the sketch at Mojo Monday and was in need of a smallish image to fit inside the doily die.  The beautiful Silhouette was perfect.

OMGoodness!  Read the quote Scott found for the graphic this week.  I totally live by this rule.  I would be a mess if I worried about everything that comes around.  I have to tell this to myself a lot.  I used to suffer from severe anxiety after my son was born and found that if I live by this rule I can keep myself in line.  I even had to go to the emergency room because I thought I was having a heart attack.  I wore a heart monitor for a few days and found out that it wasn't my heart...it was anxiety.  I tell ya, worry and stress can and will make you physically sick.  When I look at these colors I think of a bright beautiful sunny day.  Who can stress about that?

Supplies:
Cardstock: Rustic Cream, Kraft, True Black
DP: My Minds Eye/Sunshine
Stamps: PTI/Iconic Images
Ink: Memento/Tuxedo Black
Ribbon: PTI/Fine Linen
Die: PTI/Doily
Border Punch: EK Success
Machine Stitching

Italian Garden

****First I wanted to share that a card I made a few weeks back was shown on the Melissa Frances blog yesterday.  I  used the beautiful Melissa Frances paper pack from the Flourishes store along with the Country Charm Labels set and my favorite Cotton Linen Ribbon that I MUST buy more of.  It makes the prettiest bows.

Today Flourishes is having a Noon time color challenge.  We are using one of the sets from the newest release called Italian Garden.  Here are the details on the challenge:

It’s safe to say our brand new set Italian Garden inspired this noon-time challenge, just look at the lush colors of tomatoes, olives and olive oil and you’ll see what colors you need to include in your card or creation – red, green and a neutral (white, tan or ivory).

Supplies:
Cardstock:  PTI Rustic White, Kraft
DP: Basic Grey, Webster's Pages
Stamps: Flourishes/ Italian Garden
Ribbon, Twine, and Button: PTI Rustic White and Fine Linen

Thinking of You Today and Always

Hello.  So this is the week that I have a lot to share with you.  I made a card using the new set from PTI called Iconic Images that was a special purchase during the Stamp-a-Faire event on July 23rd-24th.  I love the pretty vase full of flowers.  So I decided to use it as my focal image on my card for Sketchbook Saturday.

I really like having some stamps that I just ink up and away I go.  No coloring.  It makes for a quick card.  Don't get me wrong.  I LOVE to color.  I will have one of those to share Tuesday.  :)

Supplies:
Cardstock: PTI Rustic White, Kraft
DP: Basic Grey/Hello Lucious and BoBunny/ Gabrielle
Ribbon: PTI Luxe Satin in Aqua Mist
Twine and Buttons: PTI Rustic Jute and Fine Linen
Border Die: PTI Banner Border Die
Inks: PTI Hawaiian Shores, Simply Chartreuse, Ripe Avacado, Summer Sunrise, Melon Berry
Other: Sewing Machine

Thanks

Okay, so I am a little backwards this week.  With school starting in a few days I have been running around like a chicken with my head cut off.  I told you I had a lot to share with you this week....I lied, well I was wrong.  The ones I wanted to share are for next week.  Oops!  :)

I did make a card the other day using my new Authentique paper I got when I went to Atlanta and shopped at my favorite store Archiver's.  If you haven't been there you need to find one and go!  Now!

I love the sweet little flowers on this sheet, especially when paired with lace.  I used the fabulous sketch that Chupa designed for her Sketchbook Saturday.  That girl always has great sketches.

Sorry this was short and sweet.  I hope you are all staying cool inside your homes.  It was 10 heat index most of the day today.  It sin't looking any better the rest of the week either.  I am sooo ready for fall that I can't even begin to tell you how much.

Flourishes Timeless Tuesday 129

I have a lot to share with you this week.  The beautiful new release at Flourishes is coming out this week.  You are sure to love it!  I know I do.  I have my card for this weeks Timeless Tuesday challenge which is to use your favorite flowers on your card or project.

We all know how much I LOVE flowers.  I used the darling set called Humming Along.  Isn't that the sweetest little Hummingbird?  I colored, and cut him out...then popped him up with pop dots.

Guess who is joining the Flourishes Timeless Tuesday team?  The very talented Beate Johns from the Bring Back Beautiful team.  It is her beautiful coloring skills and the magic she works with the Flourishes images that got me hooked on these stamps in the first place.  Thanks girl!  I am happy you are joining us.

Make sure you stop by and see the eye candy the rest of the girls have created for you.
