Papertrey Ink Contest

Hello everyone.  Are you having a good weekend so far?  Well, I got on the computer this morning and saw that  Nicole  had a challenge on her blog.  I didn't get to participare all week beacuse they are due by the next morning and that just wasn't enough time for me to get them finished.  I spent all afternoon trying to decide what I was going to make, then putting it all together.  I was blog hopping around on the design team members blogs and saw  Michelle  had the cutest idea for the challenge.  You will have to go look at her blog and see where I got my project idea from.

I sprayed the doily with Tattered Rose Glimmer Mist, and die cut the flower on my Cuttlebug using tissue paper.  I cut the butterflies on my Cricut using the Indie Art cartridge on shadow at  2 1/2 and 2 inches.

It is 2 PTI envelopes stuck together and I made a cardstock base for the card itself then adhered it to the 2 envelopes.  Inside there is room to put paper and embellishments for your recipiant to make a card with.

I did put a little different color paper, embellishments and sentiment inside for my friend to use.   I am sure she wouldn't like to make the exact same card.  The felt is also cut on my Cuttlebug using a die cut.

Supplies:
Cardstock:  PTI/ Vintage Cream
Patterned Paper:  PTI/ Pretty Pastels
Stamps:  PTI/ Blooming Button Bits
Ink:  PTI/ Dark Chocolate, Spring Moss
Buttons:  Cosmo Cricket
Brads:  Making Memories/ crystal brads
Ribbon:  Twill tape/ Offrey

Thanks so much for stopping by

Heather

I LOVE how feminine your card is! And I LOVE the different colored embellies on the inside. I had too many so I cheated and put them on another sheet of acetate! I really LOVE the cards you create - GREAT blog!

I'm assuming you're the Heather that left me a comment a short while ago; thank you! Just wanted to say that I'm an IA girl too, though I haven't lived there in many years; born/raised on a farm near Shenandoah. Small world!!!

Adorable!! I love these butterflies. Thanks for the comment on my blog, to answer your question, yes the flowers were made from an old dictionary that I bought at Goodwill.
