Blog Hop

Hello.  Today is the reveal of the newest release at The Craft's Meow.  There is five exciting new sets just waiting for you in the store HERE  I have a card to share using a set I hadn't used yet called Just Sayin' designed by Nina Brackett.

Look at this sweet bird that I dressed up.  The paper is from Girls' Paperie as well as the darling bird and heart die cut shapes.  I added a piece of paper doily, twine and some Want2Scrap bling to shabby her up a little.  That piece of lace litterally fell out of the basket when I was searching for the die cut shapes.  It was meant to be!  I added a Maya Road stick pin to my seam binding that came from Bluebird Lane Etsy.

Make sure you hop along to see what the rest of the girls have.  I have an extra Fuschia set that I will be giving away to one lucky winner.  I will just choose randomly.

It's A Shore Thing

Hello.  I am back to share one last card for this month's release and this set called "It's A Shore Thing" was designed by Michelle Bertuzzi.  What a fun summer set.  Lots of little images to use.  Take a look at The Craft's Meow blog to see more about the details.  All sets will be available June 1st.

This is short and sweet tonight.  My hubby is waiting for me to watch one of our shows.  He has been waiting very patiently.  :)

I used the sketch at Card Patterns.  It worked perfectly for this image.  Don't ya think?

Sending You Sunshine

Hello.  I am back to share with you my card for the last new set desgined by Nina Brackett called Sending You Sunshine.  You can find them in the store HERE very soon.  You can also visit the Craft's Meow Store Blog  to get more details about the release.  I do believe there is a giveaway too!

This set is so sweet.  There are several different changeable banners and cute little clothes to hang on the line too.  You must check it out.  I used different patterns of paper from My Minds Eye for the card and for the sun and clouds.  Too cute!  See...another Fiskars border punch?  Told you that I am getting addicted to these things.  I just wish they would make new ones soon.

Timeless Tags

I am back with another card I created using one of Nina's new designs.  This one is from the set called Timeless Tags.  Nina also designed the Spellbinders die that coordinates with this set.  I do not have the dies myself so I had to hand cut the image.  You can find the set at The Craft's Meow store.

CR84FN

Hello!  This has been a very long week for me.  I did find the time to get my card finished for this weeks colors at CR84FN.  The soft palette is perfect for a little baby boy card, but I am in need of lots of birthday cards so that is what I made.  It is our design team mate Deborah's birthday this coming week and I will be sending this off to her asap.  Happy Birthday Deborah!

I used my new PTI die and stamp set for this card.  I love the size of this little dress for and the stamp set has some cute sentiments.  See that PTI tiny tag die?  I am going to try and not use them on every card like I did the other die I used for tags.  They are horribly addicting, as well as my new Fiskars border punch.

I also used the Mojo Monday sketch for my card this week.

Don't forget to stop by the rest of the design team and see what they have created.  This is also Lin's last week as guest designer for the month of May.

PTI Blog Hop / Thinking of you

Hello.  How is your week going so far?  I have been so busy but have managed to squeeze some mandatory stamping in somehow.  I saw that the PTI Blog Hop this month is flowers.  I can tell you that I am in love with my new Anniversary set and had to use it again.  This time with a different image in the set.

When I see this set I think of fun summery colors.  So I pulled out my My Minds Eye and October Afternoon papers and went to town.  I kept this pretty simple with just a little ruffled seam binding that I stitched to the bottom and a few buttons on the side.  I need to put this one in the mail so it needs to be pretty flat.  I also threw in a blue button just for the heck of it.  I know there is no other blue in the card, but it just worked better than any other colors I put there.  What do ya think?

Supplies:
Cardstock: PTI/Rustic Cream, Kraft
PP: MME, OA
Stamps: PTI/ Botanical Silhouettes
Inks: Memento/ Cantelopue, Rich Cocoa and  Versa Magic/ Tea Leaves
Buttons: PTI
Twine: PTI

just A Note

Hello and Happy Monday!  I made this card for a great sketch at Sweet Sunday sketch challenge.  I loved the layout and it was going to work perfectly with my new Anniversary set from PTI called Botanical Silhouettes.  I was shocked when I received it in my latest order.  I didn't think I was going to qualify for it.  I love the sentiments in this set as well as the darling botanical images that you can mix and match.

I just got this new (to me) border punch at my local JoAnne's.  I love it!  It made this simple design pop.  What do you think of the bit of purple I snuck in there?  I had intended to make a card using papers more in the purple range but just didn't have much left after my CR84FN card.  I tell ya, those companies need to make more pretty purple paper!!  Speaking of JoAnnes...if you have one, the entire scrapbooking section is 40% off this week!  Mine is pretty pitifully stocked in the papercrafts department.  Bummer!

Do you have any special plans this week?  I will be working every day this week except Tuesday.  A girl at work went on vacation so I will work 4 days instead of my usual 3.
Have a wonderful week!

Supplies:
Cardstock: PTI Kraft and Rusitc Cream
Patterned Paper: My Minds Eye Stella and Rose
Stamps: PTI Botanical Silhouettes
Ink: PTI Simply Chartreuse and Plum Pudding, Memento Rich Cocoa
Ribbon: Michales
Twine: PTI
Border Punch: Fiskars Evervesence
Machine Stiching

CR84FN 29 / FROM MY heart....

Hello and Happy Sunday.  It is time for another CR84FN color challenge.  You are going to love the color combo.  I sure did.  I love purple almost as much as I love pink, the only thing is that there just isn't that much purple designer papers to be found.

I used some old Basic Grey papers and some PTI cardstock in Plum Pudding that I ran through my Cuttlebug with one of my embossing folders called Flourish.  A pretty Prima flower, satin ribbon a die cut butterfly and sentiment from the PTI set Love Lives Here.  The frame is also PTI.  The bling is Basic Grey as well.  I used the fabulous sketch from Mojo Monday.

Happy Birthday-CAS style

I needed a birthday card for my Father in Law and decided that my normal heavily embellished style just wasn't going to cut the mustard.  I based this off of a card I made HERE for my hubby on our anniversary.  I got a lot of the basics from Dawn McVey on the original.  I think she is the best at the CAS style while still having tons of fabulous detail.

I didn't really think that a flower or butterfly was too masculine so I opted for some burlap leaves that I used the PTI dies from the set "Sending You" and a couple buttons.

What do you think?  Masculine enough?  I sure hope so.

Supplies:
Cardstock: PTI Kraft, Stampin' Up brown
DP: My Minds Eye
Stamps: PTI Woodgrain Basics, Mat Stack 2 and 3, Tiny Tags and all dies to match stamp sets
Ink: Memento Rich Cocoa, Versa Magic Ocean Depth
Border Punch: Fiskars
Twine: PTI
Buttons: Basic Grey
Burlap

Feel Better Soon / Sketchbook Saturday

I got a good bit of crafty time today.  I love it when that happens.  I made a DT project and also made something for fun.  I haven't played along with Cupa and her fab sketches yet.  I keep seeing them every time I go over there and finally got time to play.

I ordered these crazy bright Basic Grey paper from the Flourishes store last week called Sweet Threads.  I wouldn't normally put so many patterned papers together but that is what the sketch called for so I just did it!

My flower is die cuts from the PTI set Beautiful Blooms 2 layered and curled up at the tips.  I also used my banner boarder die to cut both the border pieces.  Cardstock is from PTI in Kraft and Spring Mist.  Here is the sketch for Sketchbook Saturday.

Hope you are all having a wonderful week so far.  It has been a good bit cooler here in the last week and dreary.  Not sure what is going on.  We are supposed to warm back up in the next few days and I am sure I will be complaining about being too hot then.

Get Your Sketch On

Hello my sweets.  I just wanted to pop in with a card I made for the Flourishes release party sketch.  I am a little late posting this but better late than never.  I am not playing to win anything anyway.  I love to support my fellow DT members on all the fab teams that Flourishes has.  So without further ado....

I used the new Bo Bunny Gabrielle paper pack that Flourishes is now carrying in the store.  You can find it HERE.  Where you can also find the set I used here called From The Garden.  Cardstock is Rustic Cream from PTI and the brown is from Stampin Up.

*****I will be back later tonight with 2 other cards to share.  Hope you all are having a wonderful weekend.

Hello

I had some crafty time tonight and made a card using the Mojo Monday sketch and also participating in the Flourishes Timeless Tuesday challenge "anything goes".

I used the set from Flourishes called From The Desk Of, paper from Crate Paper and cardstock from PTI in Rustic White for the base and Smokey Shadow for the layer.  Memento Tuxedo Black ink and various Copic markers.  Buttons are PTI Fine Linen and the Seam Binding is from Bluebird Lane Etsy with a little flower from Reccollections (Michales brand).

CR84FN 27

It is time for another CR84FN challenge.  This weeks colors were hard for be because Hot Pink and Grey are not colors I keep in my arsenal of pretty papers.  They are pretty together and remind me of prom colors.  I started off with the new sketch at Card Patterns and it just wasn't working out for me.  So here is what I came up with.

I wanted to tell all of you Happy Mother's Day.  I will be spending my day with my family.  If you have been following me for a while you know that right before Mother's Day last year we found out that my mom has a brain tumor and I was sure she wouldn't be here this year for Mother's Day.  I am blessed to still have here here with me.  I will cherish the time I have with her now because I know the day will come when she won't be here.  We are and have always been very close.  Even when I lived in Iowa I called her every day on my way to work and on my way home.  There was never a day that went by without us talking to each other.  Even now that I live a mile down the road we talk several times a day and I go over almost every day that I am off.  Are you very close to your mom?  Do you have any special plans for the day?

I used Basic Grey, and MME patterned paper and PTI cardstock in Rustic Cream.  The grey CS is from Stampin Up.  Flower and leaves are Reccollections from Michales craft store.  Spellbinders dies for the doily and PTI banner border dies for the border.

Happy Mother's Day

When the power was out last week I heard on the radio that Mother's Day was this Sunday.  I panicked.  I thought it was later in the month.  I had so much to catch up on that I finally got to make a card for my mom for Mother's Day.  I based the design off another card I made a while back, it was sitting on my desk and I loved the way it looked.  You can see it HERE

Are any of you doing anything special for Mother's Day?  I told my hubby that whatever he was going to get me, just let me order product instead.  Flowers die and chocolates get eaten too fast.  My supplies last much longer.  hehe

I used my beautiful new Girls' Paperie paper, a Martha Steward Doily sponged with Tim Holtz distress in in Warn Lipstick.  The lace is from Hobbly Lobby(Spare Parts), PTI butterfly die and stamp from Butterfly Dreams and sugared with Martha Stewart Crystal Fine glitter, Sentiment from Flourishes Spring Bouquet.  Cardstock colors from PTI Rustic White and Sweet Blush and ink from Memento in London Fog.  Copic markers in R81 Rose Pink and R83 Rose Mist.

CR84FN 26

I am on a roll.  I told you that I had a lot to share.  I am back with this weeks colors at CR84FN.  It is a lovely pastel combination.  It worked perfectly for the new Flourishes set April Showers that I have been wanting to use.  I am going to lad it up at the Bring Back Beautiful too.

It is my team mate Stephanie's birthday this week as well.  So I made this for her.  It will be late due to the tornadoes.  I guess the old saying "come rain sleet or snow" doesn't apply to the mail running after a tornado.  :)

I used the sketch at Card Patterns.
