Merry & Bright

I can't believe I have not posted since Saturday.  This has been quite the week for me.  On Monday while my son was riding the bus home from school, someone stole his brand new I Phone that he has had for only 3 weeks.  There is video on the bus and they can see that he has it when he gets on the bus, he then goes back a couple seats to talk to someone and then returns to his seat.  In those few minutes someone takes his phone out of his backpack.  All this before the bus has even left the school. That they can see from the video.  What they can't see is who took it, not sure why.  So very frustrating..sigh.  The only way we can view the video is to file a police report.  I am going to give the school until tomorrow and if his phone is not found I will go file a report.  Wish us luck.

I have a card to share with you for the Flourishes Friday Free For All.  I used Meredith's 10 minute Creations posted on the Flourishes blog HERE for inspiration.  I love how she stamps her own backgrounds.  I can tell you that this took longer than 10 minutes, only because I have never tried this before and choosing which stamps I wanted to use and the colors of ink took me longer than it actually took me to make the card.  I will be doing this more often, love how it turned out.

I simply stamped the holly and berries image in a Moss Green and Burgundy ink randomly on my Flourishes Classic White Cardstock.  I added a small piece of patterned paper with a little May Arts Crochet Lace trim towards the bottom of the card.  The sentiment is cut out using the new Perfectly Pierced Classic Frame Spellbinders dies set.

The rest of the Sr. Design Team have more inspiration on their blogs as well, make sure you stop by and check it out.
Thanks so much for stopping by,
Heather

So sorry for your son! Hopefully the school will work on it. I don't know how the police works in the States, but here in the Netherlands it is a hard job to report...
Your card is great with the stamped background, love it!

Beautiful Heather and I like the sweet matching sentiment tag!

I would like to know how this person will explain the new iphone to their parents! The little creep ;) The police should be able to track the phone with it's tracking device shouldn't they?

Love the background, Heather...and the whole card! When I saw the little thumbnail picture, I immediately thought of Meredith's pretty backgrounds she creates...she's a master at that! Love your color choices here! And, oh, that story about your son's phone makes me furious! If I remember right...he's about my oldest's age. And I know what an investment the phone was! Sure hope you get it resolved...kids talk, you know...someone has to be pretty proud of their new find...maybe he'll tell on himself to the right person who'll do the right thing! Sure hope so!
