Blooming Roses

Hello my sweet blog friends!  Just as I sat down at my desk in m craft room to get started on the MFTWSC sketch, the mail came with my pretty new Blooming Roses stamp and dies designed by Mona Pendleton.   As you can see, I stamped the envelope as well.  It makes for a pretty "whole package".

For the envelope, I die cut some printer paper in both sized roses and used some repositionable adhesive on the back sides for masking.  I stamped the smallest first, then used the mask on top and stamped the larger rose on top.  I then needed to put the large rose mask on top so I could stamp the leaves without covering up the roses.

Here you can see that I popped up the frame with pop dots, adhered the rose to it directly, then I popped up the last rose on top of the first giving it lots of dimension.

Over at Simon Says Stamp and Show there is a "Green" challenge.  You may use the color green or you can be green and recycle something that would otherwise be garbage and use it on your project.  I chose the first option and used the color green.

Below is the sketch I used for this card.  The current MFTWSC132 sketch.

Beautiful, Heather! So easy to stamp and cut with the dies. I love it! The roses look especially pretty on the white envelope, too. I really like that particular shade of green.
