Color Q #245

Hello, my sweet blog friends!  I have a card to share that I made at my friend Marsha's this afternoon, using her Stampin Up products.  This is the first time I've used Stampin' Up stamps and the coordinating punches.  I have to say it was pretty easy to stamp the flower and then punch it out with a coordinating punch.

****I've not been happy with my photos lately.  Is it possible that the bulbs for my light tent can lose their brightness before they burn out?  I haven't changed anything on my camera or in my light tent, but my photos are looking duller.  I tried a black background as well as white.  Which do you like better?***

I love these pretty colors together, but the Pacific Point I could do without.  I always have the hardest time using darker colors like that.  It isn't in my nature to like or use the primary color family.  If you notice, I used as little of it as I could to participate in the challenge.  ;)

Here are the pretty colors that I used from The Color Q Challenge.

My friend, Marsha, that I was referring to at the beginning of the post, sells Stampin' up.  You can find her online store HERE.  I used those exact ink pad colors as stated in the Color graphic below.  The stamps set is called Flower Shop and I used the clear mount.  The fabulous embossing folder that I am in love with is called Textured Arrows.

Thanks so much for stopping by,
Heather

Lovely card Heather. Very cool arrangement of the various elements and colors! I'm a sucker for SU punch and stamp combos. Love their embossing folders too. You asked for votes on the backgrounds...I'd go with the black. Especially since you generally favor more pastel color schemes. The black makes those lighter colors pop!
Maybe if you used the Calypso Coral for the birthday wishes mat you'd be happier? The Pacific Point ink would still meet the color Challenge.

I prefer the white background; it adds a soft touch:)
I love your modern cards lately. The SU flowers are beautiful and the embossed background is perfect.
About colors; choos the colors that fit your style. It is ok to step out of your comfort zone now and then (I am trying too...:) but stick to the things that make you happy!
Hugs!

Fabulous card! I love how easy this set is to use and have had a lot of fun with it. Pretty colors! As for the background -- the black really makes it pop. I like a white background usually, but it's fun to change things up now and then. Funny you should mention the photos because as I was looking at your latest cards I was thinking how nice your photos always are. I detest my photos and can never get enough light in the right spots. I really don't have room for a light tent, darn it.
