Dahlias

Welcome to Day 1 of the Flourishes July Reveal Week! Yeehaw! Are you as excited as I am about seeing what Flourishes has to offer this month?! We are simply giddy about introducing our first of FOUR new stamp sets this month. Don't forget, you'll have many instances to WIN some of our new stamp sets for your very own! And this, our first new stamp set....

We are joining along with the Timeless Tuesday girls today while we are showing you our newest release.  The challenge this week is to use Acetate anywhere in your project or card (FTTC228). That's right, it's time to dust off those clear pieces of "paper" and create something fun and unique!

As you can see here, I used a piece of acetate from the backing of one of my stamp sets since I didn't have clear cardstock.  I backed a piece of kraft cardstock behind the acetate.  I then ran into the problem of how I was going to adhere it to my die cut cardstock.  First, I took a piece of Score Tape and adhered the acetate  to the cardstock behind the flower so you can't see it.  Then, I stitched the left side to hold it in really well.  And I love the way that little bit of stitching looks too!

Botanical Collage

Hello.  I have missed stopping by every ones blog everyday.  I do stop by and look at all but don't have time to comment as well.  I will be stopping by this weekend to visit everyone.  It has been hard getting back to work.  I am drained.  But, I did have time to make this card based off of Betsy's Botanical Collage post at Moxi Fab.  I love this look.  It suits me perfectly.  I have tons of vintage images with birds, eggs, butterflies, bees.  All those lovely things that go into a botanical collage.  So what do ya think?  Like it?
The whole background is stamped.  I used PTI's Back Ground Basics: Text Style and Petal Power.  The stamp down the side of the card and in the lower right hand corner are from Making Memories.

I also used seam binding from Blue Bird Lane Etsy and twine from Martha Stewart.  Ink is MS as well.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I wil be back tomorrow morning with my DT card for Card Patterns.  Have a great weekend.

Heather
