Birthday Wishes

Hello there!  I am back with another card to share with you.  Lisa and I decided to give it one last go at playing together in a challenge before school started back up and my life got a little crazy again.  We decided to do two out of the three challenges that I have used on my card.  I had to sneak the third in there.  Ha!

This pretty set from Flourishes is called Lenten Rose.  I chose to use this one because it looked like it would be fun to color with my new TH Distress markers, and it sure was.  I love those things!

I did something I haven't done in a long time...I combined a few challenges together on one card.  I always feel guilty about doing this, but there are so many great challenges out at one time and I wanted to play along with all of them.

Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge this week is to use a die cut.  What girl doesn't have some die laying around?  This girl sure does.  I have fishtail, circle and scalloped border dies on this card.

I used the color inspiration from Stampin' Royalty.  I loved these colors and decided to use the main patterned paper on my card because of the pattern on the pillow in the graphic.

Also, CASE study has a great challenge right now, this was my original starting point for my card.  It is neat to see how many different takes there are on this challenge.  The girls on the design team all have something totally different.  I was inspired to use the flowers and circle die cut because because of the inspiration photo.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Make sure to stop by Lisa's Blog and see what she has created for you.

Happy Birthday/ Case Study

I am playing along with a new challenge to me called Case Study.  I have seen this around on a few of my blog friend's posts and when I saw that they were CASE ing Silke, I had to play along.  I love her clean yet still feminine style.  Her cards are always so full of detail and embellishments, yet still clean.  I don't know how she does it.  So, here is my try at it.

I used the basic layout of her card and stamps, but used my own color combination.  So what do you think?  Did I do it okay?

I used papers from Crate Paper and the stamps are PTI/ Butterfly Dreams and Turning a New Leaf.  I also used the dies to match the sets as well, and the Banner Border Die for the bottom.  Then colored the pretty butterflies.  I have to say that the Butterfly Dreams is one of my favorite PTI sets.

Here is Silke's card.  See what I mean?  Beautiful isn't it?

Thanks so muchfor stopping by,
Heather
