I Miss You

Hello my dear sweet blog friends.  I hope you had a wonderful weekend. I worked on this cutie over the course of the weekend.  I have been telling myself that I needed to use all of those fabulous embossing folders that I have stashed away.  This was a perfect sketch to do just that.  Have I told you how much I LOVE this girl?  She is on of my favorite PI girls and  I used the amazing video tutorial from Michele Boyer found HERE and tried her way on the cheeks.  My skin tone is not as dark as hers, I am not that brave yet, but the way she did the cheeks worked like a charm.  Love the way it looks, that was always something that I wasn't happy with on my girls.

I am entering my girl into the guest designer contest at MFT.  There is always such great talent that enters the contest, so I will hold my breath.  Wish me luck!  ;)

You're My Cup of Tea

Hi there!  I hope you are having a great weekend so far, we seem to keep getting more snow.  I am over it and ready for spring.  How about you?  After my morning workout, my friend and I went downtown to a store that sells loose tea.  I normally get mine at Teavana but find their prices to be on the high side for what you get.  This locally owned tea store, Gong Fu has just as many options and you get twice as much for your money.  Score!   That inspired me to pull out my cute new a la modes, You're My Cup of Tea.  Isn't she adorable?  I am entering her into the MFT guest designer contest.

Since I did not have room on the front I added the sweet sentiment to the inside of my card.  I like being able to dress up the inside a little with some dies and patterned paper, it gives it that little something extra special.
