Timeless Tuesday 154 / Lenten Rose

Hello again.  I am back to share my card for this weeks Flourishes Timeless Tuesday.  Silke is our challenge hostess and she has a sketch for us.  It is also Cheryl's last week with us as the January Guest Designer, so make sure you stop by.

I did not add a sentiment.  I have needed a card a couple of times lately and everything I have laying around had a sentiment that was not for the occasion I needed.  I like to be able to add them as needed.  If I make them up ahead of time they all end up being "Birthday" or "Thank You" cards.  :)

I got my new light tent and lights.  It is HUGE and takes up a lot of space, but it definitely worth it.  In the bigger tent I don't have to worry about the sides showing like my old tent.  I am sure there are some quirks that I will have to work out so you might see some changes here and there.

Life is What You Make It

Hello.  Did you have a great week?  I have been busy working just about every day.  Time seems to fly by a lot faster when you work full time.  I was a stay at home mom for years before my son started school and the days seemed to drag on.  Now, it flies by.  I take every minute off either catching up on blogs or crafting.  I made this card for the new color combo for CR84FN.

I just love this MFT flower die.  It embosses the petals perfectly.  I had to pull out my pretty Girls' Paperie paper that my sweet friend Lynn bought me while I was living in AL and couldn't get to and Archiver's.  Thanks again Lynn.  I am currently hoarding this paper.  :)

I found this amazing blog called Magnolia Rogue.  They have some of the best photography pictures and color combos.  Kate, the owner was kind enough to let us use her amazing color inspiration boards.

I used the fabulous sketch from MFTWSC.  What I LOVE about the sketches at MFT is that they coordinate with their stamps perfectly.  It makes for using their products a piece of cake.

PTI Blog Hop

Hello and Happy Hump Day!  I have been very busy today.  I went to the Orthopedist for a recheck on my Tennis Elbow and also had to take my son Collin to the dentist to have 2 teeth pulled.  That was the last of his baby teeth.  They just didn't want to let go.  Next step is braces.  I made 2 cards today, only one which I can share with you now.  I decided to play along with this month's PTI Blog Hop.  I was just looking through my cards the other day wondering if there were things I would change now.  I am my own worst critic.

New Card

The Challenge(Taken from the PTI Blog)
This month, in honor of the New Year, we are challenging you to pick your favorite project from 2011 and share it with all of us. To take it a step further, you are challenged to create a second card that is inspired by the favorite project you select. Your new version of an old favorite could carry over the color scheme, the layout or the stamp sets. We look forward to seeing your best creations from 2011, as well as your first projects from 2012!

This was my original card posted HERE.  I loved the softness and femininity of this card.  I had put a little white paint on the Stampin' Up metal brad, and stick pin in the bow.

Timeless Tuesday / Celebrate Your Day

Hello.  I am back with another Flourishes Timeless Tuesday post.  This week Cindy is our challenge hostess and she has challenged us to make a center step card.  I really like how this turned out.  I am sure you will have fun with this too.

I think this is one of my favorite Flourishes sets.  It is called With Gratitude, and you can find out how to purchase it HERE.  I hate to admit that I had to look up this flower.  I am a big gardener and usually know all flowers.  This one had me stumped.  From what I can find, I believe these are Canterbury Bells.

I just ordered myself a bigger and better light tent.  I have a 10' tent and smaller side lights.  A lot of times the wrinkled sides show in the pictures and that drives me crazy.  The tent I just ordered is a 17" with two, two bulb lights.  You can find it HERE.  I sure hope this makes for better pictures.  I also have a HUGE 30" tent so I think those lights will work for either tent.  I have yet to use the big one.  My 12 yr old son can sit in it...that is how BIG it is!

A couple close ups so you can see the details.  I love how the darker cardstock makes the image pop off the card.

Thanks A Bunch

Hello and welcome to week 2 of CR84FN's colors of Yellow, Lt. Pink, and a Neutral.  I always love using pink so adding a little yellow wasn't that hard.  I used Flourishes Year In Flowers 1 set.  These pretty Pansies were perfect to color for this challenge.

I used the sketch at Sweet Sunday to get started.  It is always easier for me to use a sketch otherwise all my cards end up looking the same.  I love the layout of the sketch and it would be perfect for many images.

Timeless Tuesday

Hello.  I am the hostess this week at Flourishes Timeless Tuesday and I am challenging you to make anything but a card, something like a treat bag, box, or tag.

I used the new set called Love Sweet Love and made my box using the 3x3 box tutorial on SCS.  I think I will fill it with some chocolates and give it to my hubby.  The stores don't really have any Valentines candy out yet.  I am not sure what they are waiting for.  I have some left over Christmas chocolates, but didn't think that would look too pretty in the box.

Birthday Wishes/ CR84FN 46

Hello my sweet blog friends.  I have a card to share with you that I have made for CR84FN.  My BFF's birthday is on Friday and I wanted to make something special for her.  I love this weeks new colors of Pink, Yellow, and a Neutral, but I am not so sure I like the outcome of my card.  What I had in my mind and what came out on paper just didn't match.  I think we are our own worst critic sometimes.

I love the papers I used and all the elements, I just don't like the layout of the card.  I am thinking if I had turned it vertically it would have been better off.  What do you think?  I love butterflies, so I had to add one to the card.  I go through phases of using them...I think it is that time again.  :)

Supplies:
Cardstock: PTI Rustic White, Kraft
Patterned Paper: My Minds Eye
Stamps: PTI Mat Stack 4
Ink: Memento/Tuxedo Black, Tim Holtz/Spun Sugar
Dies: PTI Mat Stack 4, Butterfly, Love Lives Here (butterfly), MFT Mini Tab die set
