Hope Your Birthday Is Simply Wonderful

Hello and welcome to week 2 of CR84FN, we have a beautiful color pallet for you to work with.  This soft color combination worked perfectly for a card that I needed for my friends birthday.  I have some news to share with you all.  After two years of CR84FN, Mona has decided to close down the challenge.  It takes a lot of time to run a challenge site and at this time she would like to devote her time to her own blog and craft.  I do not blame her one bit.  Her and her husband have spent many hours searching for colors and coming up with the graphics for the challenge blog, typing the posts and everything else that goes along with the responsibility.  That is time they could have spent together or Mona on her own creative journey.  I am honored to have been a part of this amazingly talented group of ladies from the beginning.  Thank you Mona for having me on the team.  I will miss you all!

WARNING: This is a photo heavy post.  :)

This is the inside of the card.  I did not want to make the front of the card too busy with a sentiment, so I decided to pretty up the inside.  I did go back and add the cute little tea cup die to the bottom left corner after I wrote my personal message.

If you look close you can see I used some mulberry paper for the leaves.  I like the different texture that it adds to the flower.

This is a photo of the card and a cute little tag I made for the gift bag.

I have loved this darling little stamp and matching die set from MFT from the moment I saw it!  :)

Here is a close up of the pretty flower that I made using mulberry paper.  It is a Rolled Rose and a couple layers from Flower Medley.

I am entering this into the Mojo Monday sketch challenge.

If Friends Were Flowers...

Hello again!  It is Flourishes Free For All Friday.  It is where the Flourishes Sr. Design team get to choose which set they like most and hopefully inspire you to pull out your stamps and create.  I chose the set called Inside & Out You and paired it with Winter Blossoms.  This beautiful Crate Paper looks so pretty with the small floral stamped accent.  Don't ya think?

On my floral stamped image, I used the neutral tones for the leaves since the leaves in the paper have the same tone.  If I had used green it would have stuck out like a sore thumb!

I am playing along with Deconstructed Sketch this week.

I LOVE YOU

Welcome to the NinaB Designs* first team blog hop of 2013! We hope you have had a relaxing holiday break and ready to join us for another year of inspirations and prizes!
*NinaB Designs is a product designer for a few paper crafting companies including Spellbinders, Want2Scrap and Penny Black, and The Craft's Meow.
For this month's hop, Nina challenged the team to create a project with the LOVE theme, which can be interpreted in many ways: Valentine, Anniversary and Friendship.

I decided to try my hand and some mixed media, probably not the smartest thing to do when you are limited on the supplies you are able to use.  Lesson learned!  I used 2 pieces out of  one of the Want 2 Scrap chipboard albums.  Some Gelatos, a little molding paste, and some bling and I have a transformed chipboard album.  I will definitely have another go at this mixed media thing real soon, but will not limit myself on what I can and can not use!

This is pretty long so it did not fit inside my light tent standing up.  This bottom photo was taken in natural light with a piece of cardstock behind it.  For the life of me I could not find my 30 inch light tent!

The NinaB Designs team is giving away these TWO PRIZE PACKAGES: Prize Package #1 includes
Spellbinders Venetian Accents and Motifs:

Prize #2 includes 2 retired sets from Layers of Colors stamps:
