MFT Color Palette Challenge #3

Spring break has finally arrived and I am off through the 23rd of March.  I know most people travel, but I will be spending my mornings at the gym and afternoons in my craft room.  With all the cold weather we have been having I have gout out of my usual routine of 5-6 days a week at the gym, it has been more like 2 days a week.  When I wake up to negative temps and fresh snow on the ground, it doesn't make me feel like getting out and going to the gym.  Now they are saying we are going to have a cold spring.

I did spend some time this afternoon in my craft room creating for the Mojo Monday sketch challenge and the MFT Color Challenge.  I love these colors so much that I think I will make another tomorrow, using mostly Grapesicle with smaller accents of the other colors.  I know I was supposed to use kraft, but I am not very partial to the darkness it lends to my cards, so I used Natural instead.

I am not one to link to several challenges at once, but this time I used three.  I wanted to do all of them and it worked.

Grateful for You

I can't believe it has been 10 days since I posted last.   I normally get into my craft room on the weekends and make a few cards to post during the week, but we adopted a couple kitties last weekend so I didn't get any crafty time.  Once they are both settled and happy I will take some photos and share them.  We got them from the ARL and unfortunately, as the vet tech said "they came with friends", ear mites and tape worms.  Yuck!  They are not so happy with me since I have had to give them medicine daily.  One has had a bath twice already!  Both are very sweet girls (sisters) and we are enjoying the new addition to our family.

I love these fun colors together.  Have you noticed that I haven't been stitching on my cards lately?  Not missing it at all!  I can get in my craft room and get a card made a lot quicker than I used to.  All the coloring and stitching takes a good bit of time, I believe I have taken about an hour off.

May Peace Find You This Day

I am back to share the other sympathy card I was in need of making.  I am on the fence about the navy blue cardstock.  It seemed like a good idea at the time as I was using a color inspiration board from my Pinterst.  Maybe I needed to incorporate the blue again somewhere else on my card.  I am so bad...do you ever do this to yourself too?

I stamped the flowers on the inside and left myself plenty of room to write a personal note.

I'm Here If You Need Me

It feels like it has been forever since I posted last!  Within a two week time frame I got into an accident on the way to work, my son passed out and got a concussion in P.E, and we had to euthanize our sweet cat who has been a member of our family for ten years.  Why does it always have to come in threes?!

So, on to my post for today.  I have two co-workers who had a parent pass away this last week.  The card I am sharing today is for a male co-worker who's father passed away last Saturday.  The other card, for a female co-worker, will be shared tomorrow.

I was anxiously awaiting my MFT order because I finally broke down and ordered two of the cover up dies.  I can see that these will be frequently used.  Now I am asking myself why did I wait so long to order these?

I typed up the sympathy quote in Word and printed it out for the inside of my card.  Sometimes I like to hand write on the inside and sometimes I will type something up.
