It's Your Day/City Crafter Challenge

Hello everyone.  I got some much needed time in my craft room today.  Although it took me a good while to put this one together.  I loved the inspiration picture at City Crafter.  Red ,White, Blue and an optional, Rose.  It wouldn't have been so hard but I don't hardly have any red or blue.  So this is what I came up with.

I sure do miss playing along with the girls at City Crafter.  I am glad I got myself together and got it done.

Wonderful Friend/ Card Patterns #73

Hello!  I am so sorry I have been absent this last week.  I kinda lost my mojo.  Not sure what is going on.  I just didn't feel like making anything this week.  Until the time came for me to make my card for Card Patterns next sketch.  Then I knew what I had missed out on all week.  I got on and saw all my blog friends wonderful creations and felt horrible for not visiting.  I am so sorry.  So here is my creation for the challenge.

I just felt like doing  a bright and cheery card.  I have been drawn to the brighter colors lately.  I made this little embellishment in the center.  It is one of those Martha Stewart tags with a flower, button and a bit of lace.  I made several of these embellishments about a month ago and haven't used them yet.  So here is one of them.

Supplies:
Cardstock: PTI/Plum Pudding
DP: Making Memories/Flea Market
Stamps: PTI/ Beautiful Blooms II
Ink: Versa Magic/ Perfect Petunia& Martha Stewart/Lilac
Tag: Martha Stewart
Others: Buttons, Lace, Floss

I will be back on the saddle and visiting and catching up.  I promise.  Thanks so much for stopping by.  I truly missed you all.

Card Patterns sketch #72

Happy Saturday everyone.  I am back again to share my card for this weeks sketch at Card Patterns.  I have to tell ya this was hard for me.  To cut all the squares just so.  I still think they are a little off.  NO Clicking on the picture to make it bigger!  hehe
This weeks sketch is sponsored by Lauretta Sue's digital stamps.
I just can't seem to put down the October Afternoon paper.  It is addicting.  I thought this paper looked so cute with the watering can.
So come join us with the sketch.  I would love to see what you create.  Don't forget to stop by the other girls blogs and see their wonderful creations too.
Have a great weekend everyone.

I didn't disappear.  I promise.  This week has just flown by.  I was a day behind with the holiday and realized I hadn't posted since Saturday.  That is just horrible of me isn't it?  hehe.  Well here is my card for this weeks sketch at Mojo Monday.  I love their sketches and just have not had the most time in the world lately to play along.
I used my Tea for Two Additons set from PTI and the sentiment is from the Friendship Jar set.

My Mom and I

Hello everyone.  I just wanted to update you all and let you know that my mom is doing much better today and she will be coming home tomorrow.  She came through the surgery very well.  The Dr. and my family are very pleased with how well everything went.  I wanted to share a picture with you all.  This is from Mother's Day this year.  I think this is the only picture I have with my mom since I was little.  She and I both don't like our picture taken.
My brother was in the picture too but I cropped him out.  hehe.  I hadn't asked him if he wanted his picture up on my blog so I figured better safe than sorry.

This is my mom and my son.  I am surprised he actually smiled.  He doesn't like his picture taken either.

I wanted to thank you all again for all your prayers.  There were a few that commented that were no reply and I wasn't able to find your blog or an email to tell you thank you.  SO, Thank You from the bottom of my heart.

Big News

Hello everyone.  I have been sitting on some news for a while now.  The lovely girls Michelle, Tracy, and Nina have asked me to be on their design team at Card Patterns.  I graciously accepted.  I love their sketches and have played as long as I have had my blog.  I get to create alongside of these girls plus 2 other new DT members.  The new DT will be revealed today at the Card Patterns blog.  Go check out the other new girls and leave some love for the fabulous girls who will be leaving.  I am so honored that they have chosen me out of all the wonderful talent out there.

On another note..my mother is having her surgery today on her  brain tumor.  Please send some love and prayers her way.  Send some for me too.  I am completely stressed out.  This is a very risky surgery.  I will be sitting very impatiently for hours during the surgery.
***Update***  My mom had her surgery and she is doing very well.  Her head hurts but that is a given when you have someone drill holes in your head.  I am so relieved.  I am tired...and going to bed.  This has been one long day for me.  I am grateful for all of you and the love and prayers you just keep sending our way.

Hugs to you all.  I can't begin to tell you how much each and every one of you mean to me.  It is you that keep me going during this stressful time.
