Thank you so much

I wanted to tell you all how much your thoughts and prayers mean to me. I am thankful to have all of you as my blog friends.

To update you on the situation here, a few of the grocery stores are open running off generators. Only 2 local gas stations are up and running and there is a 2 hour wait. Crazy! They are now saying that it will be the middle of next week until most people get electricity. They actuallhave to rebuild the towers from scratch. I am thankful that it isn't going to be too terribly hot for the next week...and BTW...cold showers are no fun at all!

I have been in my craft room today and will have a lot to share with you when we get electricity again. Thanks again for being so sweet, caring, and thoughtful.

Hugs to you all!
Heather

So glad to hear you're safe and sound, Heather, even if definitely inconvenienced. At least you're able to craft! That would help take my mind off of things, for sure. What else is there to do?

Take care sweet girl, and keep giving us updates!

Hugs,
Lisa

Hi Heather!

Good thing you can craft without electricity and hope it's all up and running again soon! Gosh, it's terrible to hear what a mess those tornados made, hope there won't be more.. My prayers are for you and all the other people suffering there. Wishing for good weather! Hang in there!

Hugs, Wendy

Oh Heather, i am grateful to hear you are okay. I saw your card over at The Craft's Meow - don't know how you get it to Lisa, but it is beautiful! At least crafting doesn't have to take electricity :) Good thing to do while you can't do much else. Praying hard for all of you there in Alabama. At least it is fairly warm there (that is what you said right?) Here in Utah we are getting snow all weekend again :( Take care.

I think I speak for everyone when I say that we're all just glad that you and your family are safe. I'm saddened at the devastation that has hit the great state of Alabama. I have only visited there once but I thought it was beautiful... so lush and green. My prayers go out to all of those who lost loved ones in the storms and those who survived but lost everything.

Love your new card, Heather. Thank goodness for embossing machines and stamps, huh? Any new information on the power outages? We were without power for 2 weeks one August after Hurricane Alicia hit Galveston (I lived in Houston at the time) and it was the most miserable I have ever been. I'm glad it's not too hot yet and hope that everyone's power is restored before it does get hot.
