Flowers For Jan

Hello all and welcome to a very special kick off to Flourishes' January Release! Not only are we ushering the new release in with a fun-filled Timeless Tuesday Challenge but we are showcasing a set designed to honor Flourishes' owner and founder.

I am sad to announce that this is my last month on the Flourishes Senior Deign Team.  I have been with Flourishes since December, 2010.  I still remember getting that email from Julie asking me to be on the Bring Back Beautiful team, and I graciously accepted.  Since then, I have obviously moved up through the various teams to my ultimate dream, of one of Senior Designers.  The time I have spent designing along side these fabulous ladies, I am honored to call my friends, is priceless.

Thank you to all of my followers for your support and kind words on my posts.  I am not leaving the blogging world, and you will still see me around.  Maybe just not as regularly as before.  I hope you enjoy my last release as a Flourishes designer.

I wanted to keep the design simply, yet elegant.  I chose you use a pretty, intricately designed Spellbinder's die for my card base and layers.

Would you like to win this set along with the other two sets being released this month? All you need to do is play along with us!!! We have a special treat for you today -- two actually! Such a beautiful card Heather! You have always done an amazing job coloring Flourishes images and bringing them to life! You inspired me to join the Timeless Tuesday DT with you way back when ~ thank you :) Surely Jan will treasure this card as I do all my beautiful cards from you :) Thanks for the inspiration!

Well you certainly achieved simple elegance with this work of art. Your wisteria is so beautifully colored and looks beautiful popped on top of your pretty die cut layers.

Heather, SO sorry you have to leave the Flourishes team right now--but sometimes that's just what is best for you and the rest of your life. You create such elegant cards, and I love your coloring too.

I wish you all the very best and hope to still see your cards when you have the opportunity to create. And when the time is right, hopefully you'll be back--anyone with your talent won't have trouble finding companies who would love your artistry and talent creating and showcasing their stamps. I'm sure you have made the right decision, not always easy though is it. What a lovely tribute to Jan and to her Flourishes stamps you've created as this final card for now--it's only for now!!!

Best wishes, Joanne

Heather, what a Flourishes Flowers for Jan card to present as a stepping aside card. You are quite the smart lady to know when to let the mind and body have R and R for strength and good refreshment. Keep looking UP! mt23stamperatydc

Let me catch my breath... this card is stunningly gorgeous! A dream! Your layering of the dies and the simple colors are the perfect backdrop for the wisteria. I love how you tied your ribbon across the top. There's so much beauty to take in here. I was shocked to read you're leaving Flourishes, but I can surely understand. It's a lot of work and can be hard to keep up with. I've always enjoyed your Flourishes posts, but I look forward to everything you post. I just want you to enjoy yourself and be happy!
