Hello Friend / Embellish Magazine Challenge

Hello.  I am back and have another card to share with you today.  I made this last night and didn't have time to get it put up.  I was going through all the blog challenge sites and saw the color combo and beautiful inspirational picture at Embellish Magazine.  I pulled out all I had to work with and this is what I have.  What do you think?

Simple but still elegant and shabby.

I just saw as I copied the photo that I was to do paper piecing as well.  I didn't see that.  I am gong to submit it anyway.  I worked hard on it.

You're on my mind

Hello everyone.  Have you had a good week?  It went by pretty fast for me.  We are still having this freezing cold weather.  I am waving a white flag.  I give up.  This is just too cold!  Haha. 
I decided to put two challenges together this week.  I have a couple I would like to participate in and this way it is easier for me to get them finished.  I used the sketch at Mojo Monday and the color challenge at Embellish Magazine.  You had the choice of a square or circle card on the sketch and for the color challenge you had to use ribbon too.  Check!
