I have been going back through my Flourishes stamp sets and pulling out images in the sets that I haven't used before. This time I decided to use the cute pitcher of lemonade, we could use one of those here this week for sure.
I have a hard time adjusting my corrections for yellow papers, they always look so bright no matter what I do. Any suggestions?
***I am happy to say that this card was chosen as the winner at the A.R.T card challenge.
The paper is from Basic Grey and the embossing folder is an older Cuttlebug folder that I am falling in love with again. It looks great used on patterned paper and then sanded, don't ya think? Also, I have been using less of the ribbon and more of the twine since it works better for mailing.

Great card. I love all the texture and your layout. Cute!
What a fantastic take on the Deconstructed Sketch, Heather! I love the color combo. It looks cool and refreshing and reminds me of getting fresh squeezed lemonade at the Fair every year!!

What a fun card, love the lemonade image and sure sounds like a yummy drink about now!! The embossing and dps are the perfect pairing with the image ;) I have the same trouble with some colors but do not know how to fix it.

PERFECT HEATHER!!!!!!! :) I think your card is GREAT!!!!!! (The ONLY THING I know to do to calm down a bright color is to add Tim Holtz Antique Linen, Tea Dye or Vintage Photo when making my card! But, one doesn't want to make things Vintage/Aged all the time!) Your embossing folder looks GREAT!!!!!! I LOVE that sanded look too!!!;) (Your new photo looks FABULOUS TOO! NEW HAIR CUT?) ;)By the way, we could DEFINATELY use some of that yummy Lemonade here with all the heat!!!!!!:)
This is beautiful Heather!! Love the fresh lemon & lime color combo and the image you used.
Fabulous summer creation! That lemonade looks delicious. Thanks so much for playing with us for this week's A.R.T. challenge.
What a fun summertime card! Great mix of patterned paper and texture!
I think your photos always look beautiful. I'd like to know how you get your lighting so perfect. Light box? I don't know about the yellows. Purple is what I have a hard time with. At any rate, your card is cool, cute, and refreshing! The sanded embossing looks fabulous. Looks like the Spots and Dots folder. I haven't used that one for a while. You made it look brand new!
hee hee Very cheerful and sweet!
