CR84FN 51

Hello again.  Sorry I have not been around the last few days.  My hard drive is broken on my laptop, so I have not been able to get online much.  This means sharing the desktop with my hubby and son.  I do have a card I made for the new colors at CR84FN.  This week we have some pretty pastels for you to work with.

I used the new Botanical Bookplates Vol. 1 from Flourishes as well as some Nina B designed bling from Want 2 Scrap.  Papers are a mix of different My Minds Eye.  Spellbinders dies are Petite Ovals LG & SM.

Exciting news:
We have 2 fabulous new team members.  Please welcome Shannon and Pauline!  I am so excited to have both ladies join the team.  Their work is amazing and both have been regulars at CR84FN, so it only makes sense to add the girls to the team, right?

Botanical Butterfly

Hello again!  I am back tonight to share a card I made for the Product focus using Perfect Layers.  I used the 3/8 side of one of the rulers.  Using Perfect Layers, you can cut from 1/16 of an inch (very thin borders), up to 1 inch (very bold borders), with no measuring required.

I also played along with Just Rite Friday Challenge, for this month's challenge it is Spring and Butterflies.  Two things I love!

I used the Fleur De Lis Labels Twenty and Botanical Butterflies both are so pretty and worked perfectly for what I wanted.  I also used Spellbinder's Labels 20 and MME papers.  Cardstock is PTI Rustic White, and Kraft.  Ribbon is from Offray and is Off White.  Lace is from my sweet friend Stella...all the way from the Netherlands.

Timeless Tuesday 162

, Hello and welcome to another Flourishes Timeless Tuesday.  This week Maki is our Challenge hostess and she is asking us to make an Easter themed card/project.

I used the He Is Risen set and fussy cut the image and place on a die cut layer.  I just love this set and the perfect sentiments for Easter.  The pretty paper is from MME.  Can you believe I did not add a ribbon?  Shocked aren't ya?  Well, my neighbor asked for 4 Easter cards and this makes number 2.  She thought it would be better if they were flat and fit in an envelope a little better.  I believe she is giving these to people at her church.

CR84FN / Just For You

I am happy to tell you that I spent almost the entire day outside today.  This is the very first time my son has had Spring break and actually got to play outside.  It is still normally very cold here during this time of year.  Everyone is taking advantage of the warm weather.  I think we might have to go by a new mower soon.  The grass is getting pretty long.

I did take a little bit of time this evening to squeeze in my CR84FN card for week 3 of the color combo.  We are on Spring break as well, so you all have one more week to play along.

I combined a couple PTI sets for this card.  The Mat Stack 4 stamp collection and matching die along with Holiday 2011 Tags.  I also used Limitless Layers Circle Dies.  I used a hodge podge of papers from my stash and Offray Off White ribbon, PTI cardstock in Rustic Cream, and Kraft.  Button and twine are also PTI.

I also used the CPS sketch to get me started.  It always makes life a lot easier for me when I have a sketch.

Make sure and stop by to see what the rest of the design team has created.  This is also Shannon's last week with us, she has done a wonderful job with the color combos.

Purrfect

Hello again!  I wanted to make a card for my sweet blog friend Linda, who just lost her darling kitty.  It is never easy to lose a part of the family, even if it is a furry member.  Linda was a wonderful kitty momma, so I know she had a wonderful life with her.

I used the adorable new Pure Innocence set from MFT called Puurfect and the sentiment set called Clearly Sentimental about Pets.  I LOVE MFT dies.  Especially the pretty blossom dies.  This one is called Fringed Perennial, and the tab die is Ticket Tab.  I am not the best at cutting all the layers of the dress and such.  I did realize after I loaded up this card on the post that I did not give her some pink cheeks or shade her socks.  I tell ya!

I used the newest MFTWSC sketch over at SCS.  I don't get to play along as often as I like.  I have had these stamps for a couple months now.  So sad!

With Sympathy

I am sharing a card with you that I made for one of my husband's coworkers.  His son just passed away Friday from Cancer on his spine and brain.  It is always so much harder when we lose a precious child in this world who has not even had a chance to live.  He was only 7 years old.

I did keep it pretty simple so it fit into an envelope and was easy to mail from work.  I popped the center Petite Oval die up with pop dots off the Labels 18 Spellbinder's die.  I love the new Sympathy set from Flourishes called Calla Lilies.  The sentiments are amazing and PERFECT!

The sentiment I stamped inside is the one on the bottom right...Wishing you hope...

I used a sketch from  Pals Paper Arts it is a great sketch for what I needed.

BTW...I have been working soo much lately and have not had much time to visit my wonderful blog friends.  I do apologize.  I am off for a week to spend some time with my son during his Spring Break and to do a lot of catching up.  I will be around soon.

Timeless Tuesday 161

Hello and welcome back to another week of Flourishes Timeless Tuesday.  This week Silke is our hostess and she has a great sketch for us.  I finally got a chance to use the new set from Flourishes called Botanical Book Plates Vol.1

I stamped the bigger image from Botanical Bookplates Vol.1 several times on kraft card stock and embossed.  The image is die cut using Flourishes Tailor Made Classic Book Plate die.  A small piece of patterned paper in the middle and Offray Ribbon were added.  Not sure if you can see or not, but I added a little Smooch Glitz in Frost to the petals of the pretty Snow Drops.  Card stock is PTI Rustic White, Kraft, and Ocean Mist.  Memento ink in Tuxedo Black was used along with Copics B000, R20, Y23, Y11, Yg13, G21.

My friends and I have some projects to show you that feature the Nina B Designs' Spellbinders™ Paper Arts (Home Sweet Home and Sewing Elements), The Craft's Meow Stamps, and Want2Scrap bling.

Here is my project:

I made this adorable wall hanging to put in my bedroom.  I have all these colors in a quilt.  I was trying not to over do it with too much going on.  I love the double row of lace I decided to use at the last minute.

I used...

Spellbinders Home Sweet Home :  I am in LOVE with this set.  The wings are the prettiest I have ever seen.  I used pretty My Minds Eye: Lost & Found /Market Street and Follow Your Heart/Be Happy and inked the wings with Tim Holtz Tattered Rose and painted on Smooch Glitz in Frost.

Smooch Glitz/Product Focus

I just wanted to pop in and share with you a couple cards that I made for this month's product focus at SCS.  We reviewed Smooch Glitz from Clear Snap.  Just a warning...this is a photo heavy post.  The best picture and show of colors I can find for the Smooch Glitz is in the catalog HERE on page 45

For this card I used the darling new PTI Beautiful Butterflies and Mat Stack 5 and matching dies.  I first painted the Smooch Glitz in Starlight then after it dried I went over it with Frost.  My neighbor and friend's birthday is Thursday, so this will go to her.  She likes brighter colors.
Carstock: PTI Rustic White, Ocean Mist, Patterned Paper: MME Miss Caroline/Dolled up, Memento Ink: Pear Tart, Rose Bud, Offray Ribbon: Off White, Twine: Doodlebug

I used MFT new Vertical Greetings stamp and matching die set along with the new Botanical Beauty flower die.  I painted a little Gold Rush Smooch Glitz on the flowers.
Cardstock: PTI Rustic White, Melon Berry, Patterned Paper: MME Miss Caroline/Howdy Doody,

For the last card, I used the beautiful Butterflies & Blossoms from Flourishes.  I fussy cut the sweet butterfly and painted Frost Smooch Glitz on the wings.
Cardstock: PTI Rustic White, Kraft, Patterned Paper: BoBunny, Ribbon: Offray/Off White, Twine: PTI Rustic White, Copics, Spellbinders Labels 18 & Petite Ovals LG.
