4th of July

I have been meaning to make a card for the 4th of July for weeks now.  When I was looking at the Cards blog I saw that the challenge this week was a 4th of July card.  So there we go.  I had saved several vintage images weeks back and finally printed them off.  I thought the children holding the flag was so sweet.  I am also entering this in Paper Crafts StarCurtain Call, and Wee Memories.  All have Red White and Blue challenges.

******I need help.  When I was commenting the other day on someones blog, I did something and my little picture disappeared and went to that generic silhouette (in the followers box).  I am able to go fix it on each individual blog but man that is a lot of blogs to fix.  What did I do?  Also when I put my pics on my post it automatically puts it at the top and wont let me put them under my typed text.  I have to post the pic and delete it several times then it will finally realize where it is supposed to go and stay there.  This all happened after they updated Blogger and put the new design stuff in.  I am not so computer savvy now girls.  Can anyone help me?********

Cardstock: PTI/Kraft
DP: PTI/Bitty Dots 2009

Celebrate Today

I love this sentiment.  We should all celebrate today.  You never know what tomorrow will bring.  Through all of the things I have been going through with my mom I am learning that you should appreciate each and every day you have on this earth with your family and friends.  I made this card today for the adorable sketch at Card Patterns using my new PTI set Friendship Jar.  I loved this set the moment I saw Michelle post about it on her blog.

I saw that Lisa had made this cute card using the Friendship Jar set and the Flutterby Friend set.  It was adorable!  So I had to use some butterflies in my jar.  Had to!  Something happened when I checked out.  I had ordered the Flutterby Friend set and when I got my confirmation email of my order it wasn't there.  I was not happy.  BUT, I did get a free T- Shirt.  I will just order it next month.

Supplies:
Cardstock: PTI/Kraft, Cream
DP: October Afternoon/ Fly a Kite

Ink: Memento/Tuxedo Black
Copics: YR07,Y06,Y17
Dies: Friendship Jar, Butterfly Dream from PTI
Buttons: from my stash

My Cup Runneth Over

Hello everyone.  I am glad to be posting again.  I made a card for this weeks sketch at Card Patterns.  I used my new PTI stamps Tea for Two additions. Love it..totally love it!
I wanted to thank all of you for your prayers and sweet well wishes for my mom and our family.  Some of you commented as No Reply and I just didn't have the time to figure out how to reply to tell you thank you individually.  So I am thanking you here..now.  This sentiment says it perfectly.  This card is for all of you.  THANK  YOU!

I used the honey drip stamp for the tea.  I thought it looks just like it could be tea being poured.  What do you think?
I also got all the dies for both tea sets.  Gotta have those.  Right?

Supplies:
Cardstock: PTI/
Rustic Cream
DP: October Afternoon
Stamps: PTI/ Tea for Two additions
Buttons: Basic Grey(old stash)

Thank you to each and every one of you for your support here on my blog and with my family.

I am sorry I have been away

I am sorry I haven't been around to visit the past few days.  My mom is in the hospital.  Her tumor is actually growing even with treatment.  Wed night she started not making any sense at all when she was talking.  We went straight to the hospital where she had a Grand Mal seizure.  She has weakness on her right side still.  We are waiting for the Neuro Surgeon to come in first thing Monday morning and decide if he wants to risk operating.  He originally said it wasn't an option.  We also thought she would respond to treatment.  This is definitely taking all my time at the moment.  As soon as things settle down I will be back.  Thank you all for your kind words, prayers and for checking on me.  Hugs to you all!

Sweet Pea's

I feel like life is just flying by lately.  Things I want to do and get done aren't getting accomplished.  I did make this card the other night with another one of my Button Brads in my Etsy.  I love these things.

I had Sweet Pea's in my yard last year and they are beautiful.  When I saw this stamp set at PTI I ordered it and hadn't used it.  I guess because I am not the best with the Copics I put it off.  Well when I knew I would be ordering from this month's release and still hadn't used it...I had to get crackin'.

Supplies:
Cardstock: PTI/Rustic Cream
Stamps: PTI/
DP: Basic Grey

Thank You/ Color Throwdown, CPS, Wee Memories

Guess what I did for the first time?  I stitched seam binding ruffles on my card.  I didn't even practice.  I just stuck it up there and away I went.  What do you think?  Turn out ok?  I was pleasantly surprised.  I am not a  risk taker so for me to just stitch on the actual card without practice was a huge risk!
I made the card for this weeks challenges at Color Throwdown , andCPS.  I loved these colors and had to play along. Also my blog friend Jenny at Wee Memories has a challenge for stitching on your card.
*You can find this card in my Etsy Shop

Happy Father's Day

Hello everyone!  I have a Father's Day card to share today.  I am horrible at masculine cards, but I think this may be my best yet.  hehe.  I made this one for my father.  He loves ducks.  They have a pair that have come to the backyard for years now.  They are beautiful birds and hilarious to watch.

This is the real duck in my parents backyard.  I took this picture last year when we came for a visit.  Isn't he beautiful?

Cardstock: PTI/Kraft

Meet Me at the Beach

Hello!  Don't leave...you are at the right blog.  hehe.  I know this isn't my normal style but I have something fun to share with you today.  Kathy from Card Blanc  asked me to make a card using her adorable Digital Doodle.  The new String Bikini image is available at 2 Peas In A Bucket.  It is summer time and what better image than a sting bikini?   I know I have that shabby style but as I have said before I love all styles.  I enjoy trying to make something outside of what I normally make.  What do you think?  Did I succeed at a clean and simple card?

So who is going to meet me at the beach?  I am ready are you?

Supplies:
Cardstock: PTI White
DP: October Afternoon

Other: Ribbon, button, floss

Special Friend

Happy Monday everyone.  I have a card today for Card Patterns and The Playdate Cafe.  I thought these were beautiful colors when I saw the inspiration picture at PDCC.  I made the card for my best friend that I left behind when I moved.  I miss her dearly and especially miss our Friday night dinner and shopping at Archivers, Jo Ann's, and Michaels.  We also enjoyed drinking tea together so this was the perfect sentiment for me to use on this card.

Did you see on  Nicole Heady's blog that there is going to be a companion set and dies to go along with this fabulous set?  I was so happy when I saw that.  Also Michelle Wooderson from Mish Mash has a new set coming out too.  I guess I just gave away what my next purchase will be.  hehe.
My friend Patty at Sewing Seeds for You is having an anniversary giveaway on her blog.  Go over and check it out.  She is one of the sweetest blog friends.

You've Been So sweet

Let me just say I love how this turned out.  I made this for my dear sweet blog friend Patty from Sewing Seeds 4 You.  She made my mom the sweetest gift.  A lovely handmade heart pillow with the most wonderful sentiment on it.  As you know if you visit here often my mom has a brain tumor and Patty has been such a sweet friend for me.  So I made this card for her.
I used the pretty butterfly background stamp from PTI....love it.
And I had the perfect sentiment for her card too.  I also made this pin.
I just wanted to let all my blog friends know that I am very grateful to have you and thank you for all your thoughts and prayers for my mom.  They must be working because she is doing very well considering what she is going through.  Radiation is 5 days a week and chemo every day.  She is an amazing woman.  I can only hope and pray I would be as strong as she, if I were in her place.

Thanks you for all your support her in my little blog world.

((Big Hugs))

Live Laugh Love

Hello again.  Did everyone have a great weekend?  We had rain all weekend.  Which is fine...the grass, trees, and flowers are very happy.
So I saw the Shabby Tea Room has a challenge to use a heart in your project and Debbie is giving a wonderful set of Just Rite stamps to the winner.  So what better heart to use than my Just Rite Stitched With Love set.  Perfect!
I had to take the picture with the card upside down to get the right light for the pretty pin I made.
I love Just Rite stamps and I only have one set.  They work perfectly with my Spellbinders too.  Oh I finally found my mom's sewing machine.  Mine was new but something was wrong with it and it constantly got jammed up and went warp speed.  My mom's machine is a Kenmore and it sews like a dream.  Don't ya love my stitching?  I sure do.  I am happy as a clam to be able to stitch on my cards.

The sketch is from Card Patterns.  They always have fabulous sketches... and the girls there are the sweetest.

Supplies:
Card stock: PTI /Vintage Cream
DP: October Afternoon/ Thrift Shop
Stamps: Just Rite, Sentiment is PTI Anniversary set
Seam Binding: Memrie Mare
Pin: Handmade by me
Other: Ticket, button, doily, crystals, charm

Thanks so much for all the kind words you constantly leave for me.
It seriosly makes my day!
I love you all.

Heather
