Thank You

Hello again!  I am back again with my Flourishes Timeless Tuesday card.  This week Mona is our hostess and she is asking that we make a Thank You card or tag.

I used Flourishes Classic White Cardstock and Copic collections from the Flourishes store.  Stamps are from Botanical Bookplates Vol. 2 and With Gratitude.

I played along with Pals Paper Arts this week for the sketch inspiration:

Don't follow your dreams...

I decided to enter the Guest Designer contest at MFT.  I am in LOVE with all the die-namics dies and adorable stamp sets.  If you can't tell, I like to use patterned paper and they go perfectly with just about any paper I want to use.  That is a big bonus when I am choosing what to buy.

My best friend has gone back to school and taken some business classes so she can open her own business.  I admire that she is such a go getter, and she has already signed with another lady to go into business together.  She has thrown around ideas for a couple years asking me what she should do.  She has 3 HUGE dogs and decided on a dog wash, kinda like how you take your car and wash it, you can take your dog in and wash it yourself and not dirty up your own bathroom at home.  Wouldn't you love something like that if you had a bigger dog?  I sure would.  So this is for her.

I used some of the new Indie papers from My Minds Eye Indie Chic Saffron.

Here is what I used:

Let's get together...

Hello again!  I have a cute card to share with you using the new colors  at CR84FN.  This week we have a pretty combo of Lavender, Celery, and Gray.

Do you have any fun plans for Memorial Day?  I will be working, so nothing much going on here.  We have had some unusually hot weather the last couple weeks, with a record breaker for today.  We desperately need rain and I think in the next couple days rain will be moving in and it will cool off a little.  We totally skipped spring here.

I had ordered this little $5 stamp set and die from PTI a couple months ago and I have yet to ink it up until now.  I thoroughly enjoy my coffee and tea daily, and this set has sentiments for both.  I had to girly it up with a crochet border and big bow.  I have a HUGE addiction to dies, they are extremely versatile and can be used with the stamp set or with patterned paper.  I am building my die collection every week.

Look at this beautiful color combo.  I would never put these together on my own and that is why I love these color challenges.  I hope you do take the time to play along with the new colors.  Don't forget you have 2 weeks to play along.

Have a wonderful Memorial Day!

Happy Birthday/ Timeless Tuesday

Wow, time seems to be flying by the last couple months.  My son's last day of school will be next Friday.  I can't believe he will be going into 7th grade.  They have a clap out for the 6th graders on the last day of school.  All the kids and teachers come stand outside the classrooms and clap while the 6th graders parade down the halls.  Today the senior class who went to this school 6 years ago came back for a visit.  He thought that was pretty neat.  The funny thing is...on his first day of kindergarten, I did not cry.  He had 3 school years of preschool before kindergarten, so it was just another day at school.  Next Friday, I know I will be a mess!  This is HUGE for me and him.  He will be in Jr. High next year.  My baby is growing up so fast.

If you are still with me, I am back to share with you a card I made for the new Timeless Tuesday challenge at Flourishes.  This week Beate is the hostess and she is asking that we use a floral image.

I just love this Set called Seasonal Wreaths, you have 4 seasonal wreaths to choose from.  I used the one withe the pretty roses.  Can you tell I like that tag and sentiment?   I have several birthdays coming up in the next couple months, so I am planning ahead.  Ha!

Supplies:
Stamps: Flourishes/ Seasonal Wreaths, Mix-n-Mugs
Cardstock: Flourishes/ Classic White
Dies: Flourishes/ Tailor Made ClassicTags
Copic Collections: Sunflower, Green Grass, Flesh Tones 2, Dogwood

Crafty Friends Challenge #4

Hello again!  I hope you are having a fabulous weekend.  This morning I am going to make my son his new favorite breakfast, a breakfast barito.  I just scramble some eggs and put them in a warm tortilla with a little mild cheddar cheese sprinkled on top and salsa.  Easy and healthy!  I always try to make a "special" breakfast on the weekends.  Not to mention that I made pancakes yesterday.

I have made this little 3x3 box for the newest challenge at the Crafty Friends Challenge.  It is my turn to be the hostess, and I chose  Anything but a Card.

All the dies are from MFT.  Can you tell how much I love THIS tea pot die?  I keep using it, so I must love it.  I also used Prima Donna Petals, The larger of the two Decorative Doily Duo, and Vintage Flourish. All paper paper is MME.  I was able to use up all my scraps on this project.

I was thinking that I was going to give this to my son's teacher, I thought it would be a great little box to keep on her desk to have tea ready to go at any time.  BUT, he told me she only drinks soft drinks, so I might rethink who I will give it to.

Happy Birthday/ Timeless Tuesday

***I have 2 posts today.  For my Nina B Designs creation, please scroll down.  :)

Hello there!  I am back again with the new challenge for the week at Flourishes Timeless Tuesday.  This week Maki is our hostess.
The challenge is “Alphabet Letter” -  Pick one alphabet letter and use at least three supplies/elements
that start with the letter of your choice. For example, if you choose
“B” for your alphabet letter, make your creation with “B”rads, “B”uttons, “B”ow, color “B”lue,
designer papers by “B”asic Grey and so on
.  I chose "button, bow, and birthday".

I used Flourishes Classic Ivory Cardstock along with the Tailor Made Tag die and April Showers stamp set.

I decided to play along with the Mojo Monday sketch.

Nina B Designs 3rd Blog Hop

Welcome to another NinaB Designs blog hop. The NBD team and I have something exciting for you today. I challenged them to create something that uses the NinaB Designs Spellbinders die cuts from non-paper products on their projects. Did you know that Spellbinders dies can cut all kinds of material? Kim Hupke, the Educational Director of Spellbinders Paper Arts did a video showing all types of products you can cut with the dies that you can find HERE.

I used Basic Grey patterned paper and Spellbinder's dies in Standard Circles LG and Eyelet Circles.  The bling is from Want 2 Scrap called Fancy That.

For my project today, I die cut corrugated cardboard wings with the Home Sweet Home dies and cut the dress form from chipboard then patterned paper using the Sewing Elements collection.

Here are the prizes to be won:

Winners will be picked randomly from 5 of the designers' blogs:

Everybody is welcome to comment and be eligible to win. I will announce the winners on  May 22 right here. Due to the number of prizes being given away on my blog and my dependence on my mom to do the shipping, I have to ask that the winners email (via Contact tab above) me with their info within 4 days (till May 26) in order to claim the  prize. This will help with organization and avoiding confusion (I'm 40 now and sadly this happens more often than before :). Thanks for understanding!

Finally, please consider liking the following Facebook pages that are represented on today's hop, so you don't miss the latest news and happenings:

I hope we've inspired you all today! Happy hopping!

CR84FN 54/ Happy Birthday to you

Hello there!  How has your weekend been so far?  Do you have any special plans for Mother's Day?  I am hoping to wake up early enough to go to breakfast with my son.  I have a bad feeling it will turn into a zoo real quick if I don't get there when they open at 7am.  We have a great place called Mimi's Cafe that I want to go to.
I have a card to share with you using the newest color combo for CR84FN.

I have to say that this turned out to be one of my favorite cards.  I would have never chose to put these papers together had it not been for this challenge.

Here is that amazing sketch I was telling you about at Mojo Monday.

Supplies:
Cardstock: Flourishes/ Cream, PTI Kraft
Patterned Paper:  My Minds Eye/ Indie Chic
Stamps: PTI Beautiful butterflies w/ matching dies
