You Are So Sprecial To Me/Taylored Expressions

Hello again.  I have been busy all afternoon playing with my new Flourishes stamps.  I have had these papers and cardstock sitting out for some time now.  I loved the citrus feel and bright colors.  The only thing was I didn't have anything that would go very well.  That was until now.  I used the Strawberry Set and also added a little Glossy Accents to the Strawberries.

I used the same sketch at Taylored Expressions that I used earlier this week.  I happened to see when I went back to make another card that I won a place at last weeks Top Crops over there.  Woohoo!
I tried my hand at the Tim Holtz Antique Linen sponged around the Spellbinders die.  I did practice first to see which color I wanted to use.  I like the way it turned out.  I usually just ink the edges.  When I have tried to do the inside before, I had a hot mess.

This is the picture where I added the Glossy Accents.  It wasn't in the previous pictures.  But daylight was running out.  So I just added a photo.  This is the first time I have used it.

Supplies:
Cardstock:PTI/Pure Poppy,White
DP: Basic Grey/Nook and Pantry, Cosmo Cricket, De Lovely
Stamps: Flourishes, Strawbetty set
Ink: Memento/Tuxedo Black and Tim Holtz/Antique Linen
Seam Binding: Memrie Mare
Twine: Martha Stewart

Thanks so much for stopping by.
I enjoy every single comment I get.
I appreciate all of you dearly.

Flourishes' Timeless Tuesday & 2Sketches4You

Hello.  I finally got some time yesterday to make a couple cards.  I ordered some new stamps from a company called Flourishes.  They have the prettiest stamps for coloring with your Copics.  I ordered them on Saturday and they arrived on Wednesday.  Now that is service I tell ya.  A lot of their images have a botanical feel to them.  Also, they are priced very reasonably.  I was pleased with the quality as well.  I guess I know who I will be ordering my stamps from in the future.
I made this card for the Flourishes Timeless Tuesday challenge and you had to use the theme fall and the colors orange, green and brown.  I used the sketch at 2Sketches4You.

This was the first time I ever had to mask and image.  The stamp is actually a Violet but scince I had to use orange, I made them into Pansies.  Everyone in the neighborhood is putting Pansies out right now.  I guess they last most of the winter here.  I added a couple of fall leaves to the bow.

Supplies:
Cardstock: PTI/Rustic Cream, Spring Moss
DP: PTI/Bitty Dot Basics 2009, DCVW
Stamps: Flourishes/
Ink:Memento/Black
Ribbon: American Crafts
Leaves: Reccollections

PTI Blog Hop/Taylored Expressions

I am back for a second post today to participate in the PTI Blog Hop.  This month you are to share a skill or  technique you have learned from a fellow blogger.  Well I have learned so much from PTI designer Mellissa Phillips.  She has the prettiest shabby chic style I have ever seen.  I love the pastel colors and shabby seam binding she seems to work her magic with.  I could only hope to have mastered half her talent.

Round and Round is one of my favorite PTI sets.  The frame and pretty flowers, birds and butterfly options for the center stole my heart when I saw it.
I paired it with pretty Basic Grey Sugared paper and PTI's new Fine Linen satin ribbon.  I used the Mat Stack 1 PTI die.
I used this weeks sketch at Taylored Expressions to get me started for the Blog Hop.

Supplies:
Cardstock: PTI/Aqua Mist
Stamps: PTI/ Round and Round
Paper: Basic Grey Sugared
Ribbon: PTI/Fine Linen
Seam Binding: Bluebirdlane Etsy
Ink: PTI/Black, Hawaiian Shores

Card Patterns # 83

Hello.  It is finally the weekend.  I am so glad.  It was a very long week for me.  I am glad I will only be working 3 days this week.  I have a lot I need/want to get accomplished.  Cross your fingers for me.  hehe.  Here is my card for this weeks sketch at Card Patterns.
Our sponsor this weeks is DRS Designs.  One lucky RANDOM winner will win a $15.00 gift certificate to their store.
I am not the best cardmaker when it comes to cutesy designs.  I tried my best.  I used some very old Basic Grey paper.  I think you might see more of it.  I love the pink color.
Make sure you go check out the other design team members blogs.

Taylored Expressions #128

Hello.  I finally got some time today to make a couple cards.  I made this one for the sketch over at Taylored Expressions.  As soon as I saw it I knew it would be perfect for one of my sweet vintage images.
I found this little crystal charm in one of my mom's boxes of charms.  Isn't this the sweetest little vintage image?  I fell in love with the soft colors.  It is an old Perfume ad.

Sorry this is short and sweet.  My son has a TON of homework.  Research on the Iroquois Indians and Airplanes as well as spelling and a math sheet.  Go figure.

Supplies:
Cardstock: PTI/Rustic Cream

Trick or Treat/Mojo Monday

Hello.  I am back to share a Halloween card I made for Mojo Monday.  I got my new PTI set in the mail yesterday.  Since I had to work I didn't have time to play until today.  I got the Wreath For All Occasions and Inside&Out Holiday.  Plus the new paper, ribbon and button color.  Fine Linen looks so pretty and creamy.  I can't wait to use it.  So anyway...here is my card.

I debated on putting the Happy Halloween in the enter of the wreath but remembered I had this glittery witch from Making Memories and she worked perfectly in the center.
I saw the wreath used every way by the PTI Design Team except for Halloween.  I made a wreath last year and it is pretty darn cute.  It has black feathers and a crow sitting in the middle.  I have yet to find that since we moved.

Supplies:
Cardstock: PTI/True Black
DP: Making Memories, Basic Grey
Stamps: PTI/ Wreath For All Occasions, Friendship Jar fall fillers
Lace, twine, buttons: Making Memories
Seam Binding: Bluebird Lane Etsy
Ink: Memento: Tuxedo Black, MS Mandarin Orange
Scalloped sticker: Making Memories

Just Thinking of You/Waltzing Mouse Challenge

Hello.  I am back again to share a card with you that I made for this weeks sketch at Waltzing Mouse Sketch Challenge.  I honored to see that I had won Top Mouse for last week's challenge.
For the middle I took tissue paper and folded it and then just messy stitched it on.  I didn't want it to have a perfect folded look.  I wanted this to be a quick and easy card, and it was just that.  I think it still has detail and embellishments though.
I used my PTI set called Turning a New Leaf to stamp the background on the bottom.  I really need to get some WM stamps.  I am bad to see so many things I want then just freeze and do nothing.  I hate making the wrong decision.

Supplies:
Card Stock: PTI/Rustic Cream
DP: Basic Grey
Stamps: PTI/ Turning A New Leaf, Embellishments
Ink: Versa Magic/Wheat, Memento/Rich Cocoa
Seam Binding: Bluebird Lane Etsy
Ribbon: Satin from stash
Heart Charm: from beading stash

I went simple with this but still feminine using my doily sprayed with glimmer mist for my half circle.  I love a little piece of ribbon tied around my first bow.  Especially when it is a different size and type of ribbon.

Hello Friend / Embellish Magazine Challenge

Hello.  I am back and have another card to share with you today.  I made this last night and didn't have time to get it put up.  I was going through all the blog challenge sites and saw the color combo and beautiful inspirational picture at Embellish Magazine.  I pulled out all I had to work with and this is what I have.  What do you think?
Simple but still elegant and shabby.

I just saw as I copied the photo that I was to do paper piecing as well.  I didn't see that.  I am gong to submit it anyway.  I worked hard on it.
Supplies:
Card Stock:PTI/Kraft

Happy Halloween/ 2 Sketches 4 You

Hello and happy Thursday.  I got some more crafting time done today.  Along with laundry too.  Woohoo!  I haven't been doing as many challenges lately like I use to.  I have had this image sitting on my desk for a few weeks now along with the paper all picked out and everything.  When I saw the sketch at 2Sketches4 You I thought this fit perfectly.
I know blue isn't your typical Halloween color but I thought it brought out the background in the image.
I used a pretty little gold button for the center and a couple of those leaves I am totally addicted to.

Supplies:
Cardstock: PTI/Rustic Cream
DP: Basic Grey & Making Memories
Image: from the internet
Seam Binding: Bluebird Lane Etsy
Leaves: Reccollections
Button: From stash

Celebrate Today/Waltzingmouse Challenge

Hello!  I am so happy that I had time to make a couple cards today.  One is for the new sketch at Waltzingmouse Challenge.  I don't have any WM stamps yet.  They are on the top of my list of stuff to buy.  If I just had time to sit and decide what exactly I want to buy.
Top is taken outside and the bottom pic is inside.
I love how this turned out.  I was going through my Basic Grey paper packs the other day and pulled both of these sheets out because I knew I wanted to use them.  When I saw the sketch I though it would work perfectly.  What do you think?  I got a couple mosquito bites while I was outside taking this picture.  Yuck!
The one above is outside and I retook it inside.  Big difference.  I think the bottom one is more true to the colors of the card.  The first makes it look too grey.  What do you think?
I have missed my crafting time lately.  It felt wonderful getting something accomplished.  I will be stopping by to visit you all again tonight.  If I don't fall asleep in my chair again.  hehe

Supplies:
Cardstock: PTI/ Rustic Cream, Spring Moss
DP: Basic Grey/ Sugared
Stamps: PTI/ Round and Round & Friendship Jar(tag)
Ink: MS Pink Geranium and Stem Green, Memento Rich Cocoa,
Seam Binding: Bluebird Paperie
Twine: Martha Stewart
Flower & Leaves : Reccollections(Michaels)

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by and leave me such wonderful comments.  I appreciate each and every one of you!  :)

Card Patterns sketch 81

Hello and happy Saturday!  I am back to share with you my card for this weeks sketch at Card Patterns sketch 81.  I decided to go a little more clean and simple with this sketch.  Could not really find a good place for my seam binding to live.  Can you tell fall is on my mind?

Tea Time / Mojo Monday

Hello!  I have missed you all so much.  I have spent the last couple days catching up on every ones blog that I haven't had time to make anything myself.  I am still trying to work out my work and craft time.  It might take me a bit.  Please don't think I have abandoned you.  I cherish all my blog friends and visit as much as I possibly can at the moment.
I made this card for this weeks sketch at Mojo Monday.  It is a fabulous sketch and I have wanted to play along all week.  I decided to go fallish.  What else says fall than tea and tea pots?  That is one of my favorite things to do when cooler weather comes along.  I have so many vintage tea cups but only one tea pot.  They are a lot harder to come by in good condition.  I used this old K and Company paper called Ancestry.com.  It reminded me of vintage wall paper.
I have also decided that I am ordering a light tent.  Now that I am back to work I won't feel guilty about ordering it.  I hate that my photos are not consistent.  It was after supper and the sun hasn't come out in 2 days so I went and took this out on the deck.
I just love the old shabby feel this card has.  The lace, gold button, and leaves just tie it all together.  I also did some stitching around the edges.  Which I need to practice on my sewing too.  Time..never enough!  I will be stopping by again tonight to my friends blog to see what you have been up to.

I also wanted to thank June who made this wonderful badge for her blog Friends and gave it to me.  I am so honored.  Then Ros also passed it on to me.  I love you both and cherish your wonderful friendship.

Love and big hugs to you all,

Heather

Botanical Collage

Hello.  I have missed stopping by every ones blog everyday.  I do stop by and look at all but don't have time to comment as well.  I will be stopping by this weekend to visit everyone.  It has been hard getting back to work.  I am drained.  But, I did have time to make this card based off of Betsy's Botanical Collage post at Moxi Fab.  I love this look.  It suits me perfectly.  I have tons of vintage images with birds, eggs, butterflies, bees.  All those lovely things that go into a botanical collage.  So what do ya think?  Like it?
The whole background is stamped.  I used PTI's Back Ground Basics: Text Style and Petal Power.  The stamp down the side of the card and in the lower right hand corner are from Making Memories.

I also used seam binding from Blue Bird Lane Etsy and twine from Martha Stewart.  Ink is MS as well.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I wil be back tomorrow morning with my DT card for Card Patterns.  Have a great weekend.

Heather
