Flowers and Valentines

Hello again!  I have been so horrible about posting on a regular basis, as I've been sporadic about crafting.  We had weeks of really cold weather and all I wanted to do was crochet and watch tv on my day off.  Gone are the days when I stayed home with my son and would craft whenever I felt like it.  I work full time, have an elderly client I care for on Sunday, and try and make it to the gym 4-5 days a week after I get off work.  That really only leaves me with Saturdays, which I usually go to the gym on that day as well, weather permitting.  Needless to say that my card-making has gone by the wayside.

Here are a few cards I made over the last month.  A couple Valentine's and a Best Wishes card for my work bestie that is leaving and going to another job.  As soon as I'm done typing this out, I am going to create some more.  Stay tuned!!

All cards were created using Papertrey Ink cardstock, ink, Stamps, and coordinating dies.

Thanks so much for stopping by,

Heather

I Heart You

Why do the weekends always fly by so fast?  Sometimes I wish I could freeze time, one reason would be so I would quit aging and another reason is so I could get more things accomplished in my day.  It sounds great, doesn't it?  I can only wish.  Do remember yesterday's post where I said I got three cards made that afternoon?  This was one of them.  I need a Valentine's Day card for my son and the cute new heart balloons from MFT were the perfect fit.  I absolutely adore these colors together, don't you?  Can you tell I am trying to step outside of my comfort zone with these colors?  Raspberry Fizz was the perfect pop of color to go with the blue and green cardstock.

As you can see, I used Textile Backgrounds in Berrylicious on the Blue Raspberry cardstock.  I love the contrast between Limeade and Blue Raspberry.  Hopefully the pop of Raspberry Fizz won't bother my son.

Sweetheart

Happy first Friday in 2014!! We want to extend our best wishes to each of you for the New Year! Since this is the Friday before Flourishes new release, you are probably wondering where our Pre-Release Challenge is? Well, we decided to let the Friends of Flourishes gals run this month's challenge! Be sure to tune in next Tuesday and play along with the Release Week Timeless Tuesday Challenge! We'll have three winners that week for the FULL release! Play along as many times as you want for multiple chances to win!

So, the bad thing about going back to work is...not having natural light to craft in.  By the time I get home and have dinner cooked, the daylight is gone.  I do have an Ott light, but obviously it didn't help me distinguish between the hot pink ink and melon colored patterned paper.  I really didn't notice the drastic difference until I turned on my light tent and went to take a photo.  I just decided to go with it.  Sigh....
