Seaside Life

Happy Friday Flourishes Friends!  How is the weather in your neck of the woods?  Is that summer heat getting you down?  Well today the Flourishes Senior Design Team has a treat for you focusing on some beautiful summery sets:   Beach LifeSeaside Life and A Guiding Light  because we know that this time of year makes you long for those cool ocean breezes.

For my card today, I used Seaside Life and stamped it in Versa Mark ink then used some white embossing powder and embossed my image.  Then, I colored the open spaces with my Copic markers in the collections   listed below.

I used the Sweet Shop sketch for my card today.

Sip, Sip Hooray

I have been going back through my Flourishes stamp sets and pulling out images in the sets that I haven't used before.  This time I decided to use the cute pitcher of lemonade, we could use one of those here this week for sure.

I have a hard time adjusting my corrections for yellow papers, they always look so bright no matter what I do.  Any suggestions?

***I am happy to say that this card was chosen as the winner at the A.R.T card challenge.

The paper is from Basic Grey and the embossing folder is an older Cuttlebug folder that I am falling in love with again.  It looks great used on patterned paper and then sanded, don't ya think?  Also, I have been using less of the ribbon and more of the twine since it works better for mailing.

SUPPLIES USED:

For this card I used the newest sketch at Deconstructed Sketch and the A.R.T Card Challenge where anything goes this week.

Calla Lillies

Hello again!  I am back tonight to share a card I made for someone who isn't feeling well,  I wanted to let her know I was thinking about her.  This post is going to be short and sweet.  I was in my craft room today trying to get ahead on my cards for the next release.  :)

SUPPLIES USED:

I used these pretty Calla Lilies that color up so pretty and have a lot of great shading details in the image to help you out when you color.  I stamped the inside with some Tim Holtz distress ink and added a strip of patterned paper, this finishes the card up.

I used the sketch at Deconstructed Sketch for the design of my card.

Cupcake Cutie

I finally got into my craft room to create something just for fun.  Since school has been out, I have been dragging my feet about getting in there and creating.  I think I just wanted to enjoy the time off and go to the gym and stay for as long as I like each day.

Friday night I went over to my friends house and she had this darling Cupcake Cutie that I missed putting in my cart that release.  I was so happy to see that she had ordered her, I took advantage and stamped her off and colored her up during a girls night of crafting.    I love her cute little eyelashes!  :)

SUPPLIES USED:

I used the current sketch from MFTWSC for my card.
