May 2014 PTI Blog Hop

Hello and Happy Memorial Day weekend.  I wasn't sure if I was going to have time to get in my craft room, but luckily I did.  I looked at all the pretty cards for the PTI Blog Hop and decided that I must play along, last minute mind you.  Better late than never, right?!  ;)

This beautiful Butterfly Dreams set from PTI is my absolute favorite butterfly set ever!  I have actually used two different butterflies from two different sets.  The sweet little butterfly pattern on the bottom of the card was made using the Butterfly Dreams stamp set.  The sentiment is from Sending You.

Graduation #2

Hi there!  I wanted to share the second card I made for one of the kids we had graduating this year.  The other day I shared one for the girl in our class, this one is for a boy.  I tried to keep it as masculine as I could.  When he opened it he said he loved it.  That made my heart happy!  He knew I made cards for a blog and had asked me months ago if I would make him one for graduation.  I'm glad I didn't disappoint.

I used the same sketch and mostly the same dies as the card on the previous post.  The patterned papers are from various My Mind's Eye 6x6 packs.

Valley Graduation 2014/Girl

Wow!  It's been a week since I posted last.  I've been super busy preparing for the summer break from school.  I am in need of a couple graduation cards for two kids in our classroom that will be graduating on the 25th.  This one is for a girl who shares my passion for crafting.  Hopefully she will appreciate this as much as I hope she does.

It's been quite a while since I have used my PTI stamps, they were collecting a lot dust.  I remember when all the Mat Stack stamps and matching dies came out, they were all the craze at the time.  I love how the limitless layers dies coordinate so well with the various label sets.  You will be seeing more of these in the future.  I am addicted again!

Here is the sketch I used for this card from Sweet Sunday.  I did take a couple creative liberties though.

Sherbet Thank You

Hello and Happy Mother's Day to all who celebrate today.  I took a couple hours out of my afternoon to head to my craft room and create a few cards.  I keep using this patel combo of purple and teal.  I must love it because I didn't realize until after I was finished that I had used it again.  Ha!  If I had a lighter shade of orange I would have used it.  I think this orange is a bit dark compared to the inspiration photo and the other pastel colors used.

I love these pretty sherbet colors together.  I found this color palette at Design Seeds.
