    Merry & Bright

Hello again.  First: I want to say thank you to everyone for your sweet comments and warm welcome to the Sr. Design team.  I am truly honored!  It is day two of the release and we have a beautiful set called Poinsettia and Pine.  Pair a beautiful poinsettia branch with some pine and holly and you have one beautiful image perfect to ring in the holiday season! This set, penned by Marcella Hawley offers one large focal image, a small sprig of pine and holly along with four beautifully scripted sentiments -- all packed into a 4" by 6" set.

I guess I was really feeling the color pink for this one.  I colored the image and cut it out using various Spellbinder Dies.  If you look at the berries you can see I added a little bit of Stickles for just that little extra something.  The ribbon is Sheer May Arts Satin Scalloped Edge in Pink.    As always I used Flourishes Classic White Cardstock which is fabulous for coloring with Copics.  I stamped the image using Memento Tuxedo Black ink.

These are the Copic Collections I used
    Evergreen Collection

    Leaf Green Collection

    Lenten Rose Collection

    Poppy Collection

    Sunflower Collection

    Merry Christmas

Hello everyone.  I have some exciting news and the reason I have been quiet the last week. If you visit me often you will know that I have been with Flourishes for 2 years come December and have worked my way up through the various teams during that time.  Well the other day I was asked to be on the Sr. Design team.  I was honored to be asked and said yes!    My sweet blog friend and past fellow Timeless Tuesday team member Silke just moved up to the Sr. team in the spring and now I will be joining her and the rest of the sweet and amazingly talented ladies of the Flourishes Family.  Woohoo!  With that said, it is on to the release week details....

Hi all and welcome to day one of Flourishes Sneak Peeks for its Christmas release! We are starting early because we have FIVE new sets to unveil and want to make sure you see all of them in their full glory! Get ready for a fun and festive week ahead! There is definitely something for everyone on tap this week.Today, we start with a classic Christmas image and we know that it will be a favorite for years to come!

I colored and cut out the beautifully decorated Christmas tree and added dimensional adhesive.  It is a rather large image so it did not fit on an A2 card.  This is a 5x5 square card.  I used some pretty Fancy That  bling from Nina Brackett that you can find in the Flourishes store HERE.  The cardstock is Flourishes Classic White and several of the Flourishes Copic collections were used and link listed below.

    Gerber Daisy Collection
    Evergreen Collection
    Sunflower Collection
    Poppy Collection
    Water Collection

    Introducing....

    September

Hello again and welcome to another Flourishes Timeless Tuesday challenge.  This week is our hostess and she is asking that we make a mini card that is no bigger than 4x3. This was definitely a challenge for me as  I already have problems getting everything to fit on a regular sized card.  In the end I was happy with the result and it fits in the palm of my hand.

I used Year in Flowers 3 and Flourishes Classic White cardstock.  The image is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.

    Cutie Pie

Hello my sweet blog friends.  Are you having a good weekend so far?  I have a card to share with you that I created for the newest colors at CR84FN.  For the next 2 weeks we are using Lavender, Peach, and a Neutral.

I am going to let you in on a little secret.  When I originally colored this cutie I had used a color on her cheeks that turned out a little too purple.  It looked like someone had punched her in the cheeks and they bruised.  It killed me to put that on my blog so I went back and cut out just around her head and recolored it just the way I had intended it to be then glued it on.  Ha!  I don't think you can tell from straight on but you can in the photo below that is taken at an angel.  I was not about to throw away all that hard work or tear off the whole image either.  So this was my bad aid for my boo boo.  What do you think?

I love these pretty colors.  My only gripe...there is little to no purple patterned paper.  WHY?  I love purple and it is never in any of the paper packs.  My Minds Eye needs a whole pack of purple papers and I would be one happy girl.

I played along at MFT using their Wednesday Sketch.

    Supplies:
    Cardstock: MFT/Natural, Grapesicle
    Patterned Papers: MME
Stamps: MFT/ Pure innocence: Picture Purfect
Dies: MFT Die-namics/ Hibiscus, Mini Tabs foursome, Double Scallop Border

Make sure you stop by the rest of the design team's blogs:

Hoping all your Wishes and Dreams...

Hello again!  I had the day off and decided to get into my craft room after I did some house cleaning.  I wanted to use a set that had not seen an ink pad yet...sad to say, but I have had it for at least 6 months and haven't even used it yet.

I used a set from PTI called Day Dreamer.  I loved the different flower top options and sweet sentiments.  I will be using this a few more times for sure.  Can you see I used a little bit of glitter on the center of the flowers.

I used the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches

    Supplies:
    Cardstock: PTI/ White, MFT/Natural
    Patterned Paper: MME Bee Happy
Versa Magic Ink: Pixi Dust, Pink Grapefruit, Tea Leaves
    Offray Ribbon: Antique White
    Border Die: MFT

    Trick or Treat

WOW!  It has been one long week at work for me.  I had the day off and some time in my craft room today.  I wanted to submit something for the Guest Designer sketch at MFT and I  had ordered the new VIP kit and could not wait to use it.

I was looking back at a card I had made using one of my very first Pure Innocence girls last year and decided to use some of the same MME paper that I love so much along with Snow Cone and Natural cardstock.  The dies that I used are mini tabs foursome, Notched Border, and  Prima Donna petals. If you look closely you can see that I added some Stickles to the layers on her adorable costume.  OH....I have to tell you....I ordered some of the new Hemp Cord in the MFT store.  I LOVE it!  It is a lot more sturdy than the Jute that I have used in the past and what I like most is that it does not look frayed.
