Card Patterns

I am so excited to share my card for Guest DT at Card Patterns.  I was thrilled to go check the new weeks sketch to find I won Gest DT.  The girls over there have some of the best sketch challenges out there.  I was a little thrown by the wave in the middle.  I found some digital stamps that had the sentiment in a wave pattern.  I just printed it out on cardstock and cut it by hand, and put it above.  What do you think?

I just got a call this morning from my brother.  My mom is in the hospital and they think she had a stroke.  Any and all thoughts and prayers would be greatly appreciated.  My mom and I are very close and I just couldn't imagine my life without her in it.  I can't type any more.

Hello everyone.  Are you having a good weekend so far?  It is still dreary oustide.  We are suppose to get sunshine tomorrow.  I sure hope so, it has been about a week since we have seen sun.

I made this card for CPS.  I think this has to be the fasteset I have ever made a card.  I stamped these butterflies and was just playing around with coloring with my new Copics, when I knew as soon as I saw the CPS sketch I had to use them.  Butterflies are everywhere in the papercrafts world.  And I love my PTI Butterfly Dreams set.

I took this picture of my card on a beautiful handmade doily from Carmelina at Creative Carmelina.  You have got to go by and check out her blog.  It is so inspirational.  This woman is very talented.  Art Journals, Crochet, Inspirational writing.  She is selling her doilies for a great price...and the cards just look so lovely on a doily.  Don't you think?

Card Patterns

I have been waiting for my Copic markes so I could do some coloring.  Coloring was one of my favorite things to do when I was a child.  I have spent a couple months researching and watching You Tube videos on how to use the Copics.   I decided to get the Cia's since I will not be doing any airbrushing.  At least for the moment.  They were alot cheaper than the Sketch.  I asked around and this seemed to be the best fit for me.  So, did I do okay on the coloring job?  I did go outside the lines on the stem.  I used the colorless blender to try and push it back.  I colored all day yesterday.  Just like old times.

I made the card for the Card Patterns sketch challenge.  This image worked great for this sketch.  I did flip the sketch right side up.  I also submitted this to Get Sketchy...there is no sketch, just what ever you want to make.

                                                

I went to Archiver's last night to get my 2 new Basic Grey 8x8 pads of green at heart and kioshi...I got there just in time.  They just put the new lines out that morning and they only had 1 Kioshi and a few Green at Heart left.  I think the Green at heart is my favorite.  I just love the flowers and bright colors.
