CR84FN / Hello Dear Friend

Hello and good Morning.  I hope you are having a fabulous weekend.  Unfortunately I have caught a bad virus from my hubby.  He had a fever the other day and I guess by the time I realized he was sick, I had already been exposed.  So I am not feeling so great.  I do have a card to share with you using the newest colors from CR84FN.

I used Nina's new Sew Lovely set.  I fussy cut the dress form and paper pieced the dress and bow.  Added some bling from Michales along with some Offray satin ribbon.  Paper is a mix of Simple Stories, DCWV, and MME.

I have some sad news. Stephanie will be stepping down from CR84FN.  I have enjoyed working with her and will miss her tons.  Good thing is that I don't have to go too far to still see her work.  Please make sure to stop by and let her know she will be missed.

Blog Hop

Hello.  Today is the reveal of the newest release at The Craft's Meow.  There is five exciting new sets just waiting for you in the store HERE  I have a card to share using a set I hadn't used yet called Just Sayin' designed by Nina Brackett.

Look at this sweet bird that I dressed up.  The paper is from Girls' Paperie as well as the darling bird and heart die cut shapes.  I added a piece of paper doily, twine and some Want2Scrap bling to shabby her up a little.  That piece of lace litterally fell out of the basket when I was searching for the die cut shapes.  It was meant to be!  I added a Maya Road stick pin to my seam binding that came from Bluebird Lane Etsy.

Make sure you hop along to see what the rest of the girls have.  I have an extra Fuschia set that I will be giving away to one lucky winner.  I will just choose randomly.

It's A Shore Thing

Hello.  I am back to share one last card for this month's release and this set called "It's A Shore Thing" was designed by Michelle Bertuzzi.  What a fun summer set.  Lots of little images to use.  Take a look at The Craft's Meow blog to see more about the details.  All sets will be available June 1st.

This is short and sweet tonight.  My hubby is waiting for me to watch one of our shows.  He has been waiting very patiently.  :)

I used the sketch at Card Patterns.  It worked perfectly for this image.  Don't ya think?

This set is so sweet.  There are several different changeable banners and cute little clothes to hang on the line too.  You must check it out.  I used different patterns of paper from My Minds Eye for the card and for the sun and clouds.  Too cute!  See...another Fiskars border punch?  Told you that I am getting addicted to these things.  I just wish they would make new ones soon.

Timeless Tags

***For my CR84FN card click HERE

I am back with another card I created using one of Nina's new designs.  This one is from the set called Timeless Tags.  Nina also designed the Spellbinders die that coordinates with this set.  I do not have the dies myself so I had to hand cut the image.  You can find the set at The Craft's Meow store.

You also don't want to miss the announcement of the winners from the past two days of previews!!! Yes there are lots of prizes.... so be sure to check it out!!!

We have been sharing previews of two brand new exclusive designs of Little Frieda over the past two days, and today's the day you can finally own these cutie pies! Happy Anniversary...and some flowers and birds

Hello my sweet blog friends.  I just wanted to share a card I made for my parents Anniversary which happened to be on Easter this year.

Again, nothing too facy.  I tried to make it a mix of masucline and feminine.  I think it turned out pretty good.

These are Evening Grosbeaks and are migrating through to the north for the summer.  I saw one of them out back the other day and he was pretty timid.  Then today when I looked outside there were two males on the tray feeder.  The females are brown and look like an overgrown sparrow.  I haven't seen any of them.  I am assuming they are sticking around taking a break while enjoying the yummy food that I put out every day.  I have this whole pole system from Wild Birds Unlimited and also a feeder out front.  Guess how many bird baths I have?  I have 4 in the back yard and a fountain in the front yard.  Can you say SPOILED?

This is a beautiful two tone Bouganvilla that I planted in the backyard.  I can't wait until mid summer and it is full bloom.  I will take more pics when all my flowers start to grow.

It was cloudy the day I took this photo.  These are the seed packets that I planted into the ground.  The Zinnia's are already up and  have a couple leaves on them.  I wonder how fast they will come up here.  I can tell you that digging in this nasty red clay that is here in Alabama was horrible and filled with rocks.  There are mountains all around so if you dig...you will find rocks.  I miss my wonderful balck soil in Iowa.  Everything was sooo much prettier there.  It is amazing how much the soil quality makes a difference.  I will take a picture of the clay before I put the mulch on top.

Hope you enjoy the rest of your week.  I will be back at the end of the week with the new stamp sets that are being released by Nina Brackett at The Craft's Meow.  You will love them...I sure do.  Then again, I love everything Nina designs.

Happy Earth Day!.....and some news

I wanted to get this post up before Earth Day was over.  I made this last night, but my hubby came home from work late and wanted to spend time with me before we went to bed.  So here I am today.

I started off with a pretty image I had colored from Flourishes and it the image was too big.  You couldn't even see my pretty Girls' Paperie paper behind it.  So, I whipped out my cute Vintage Button card set from PTI and made a card with a pretty Prima flower.  I LOVE pink, it is my favorite color.  I didn't put any sentiment on it because I like to have some around that I can customize them when I need them.

I think I have finally fixed my picture problem thanks to Lindsay and her hubby.  I sized my cropped picture to "Original" and that fixed the problem.  Yay!  Thanks Lindsay.

THE EXCITING NEWS!!!
Some exciting news I wanted to share with you all is that I have been asked to design for The Craft's Meow.  I will guest design for two months.  If you haven't heard yet, Nina Bracket will be releasing her new line of stamps on May 1st and that is the place where you can get them.  Make sure to stop by and see all the talent that Lisa Hjulberg has snatched up.  You will see a lot of familiar faces.

Heather
