MFTWSC171

Hello again!  I hope you had a fabulous weekend.  I spent most of Sunday trying to restore my desktop computer after my son downloaded a game that installed a nasty virus.  The entire thing had to be restored to factory settings!  Ugh!

The card I am sharing today is one of two cards that a friend of mine asked me to make for her.  She is in need of two Mother's Day cards.  She liked the darling little tea pot set, so that is what I used.

MFTWSC170

Hello, hope you are having a great start to your week.  I wanted to share a card with you that I made for the MFTWSC sketch.  I am going to open my Etsy shop back up sometime soon and thought it would be wise to have a few Mother's Day cards in there. I had a few things in there years ago and never did fill it back up.

As you can see, I am totally addicted to the Scotch dimensional adhesive.  I find myself using it on just about every card I make.  It works great for giving your die cut elements that extra little bit of dimension.

You can find the sketch for the current MFTWSC on the MFT blog.

PTI Color Play

After several years of the shabby chic blog design, I have decided a new look was in order.  What do you think of my new look?  I love it!

I don't seem to use my PTI stamps and dies nearly as much as I should, so when I saw the color play and sketch challenge, it was the perfect opportunity to put them to good use.  This sweet sunflower set is one of my favorites.

I had quite the time trying to incorporate all the colors on my card, but am happy with the end result.

This is the pretty pastel Color Play at PTI which I decided to combine with one of the sketches.

Sweet Sunday 213

Hello, my sweet blog friends!  The card I am sharing today is one that I made for the Sweet Sunday Sketch challenge.  You are to make a 5.5" x 3.5" in card.  I don't think I have ever made anything smaller than an A2 or a Square 5"x5"in card.  This actually looks kind of cute!  As you can see below, I made a matching tag to go with my card.

I popped the yellow flower up with some some dimensional adhesive.  I have become addicted to the Scotch brand that you can find at your local craft store.  It is just the right thickness...not too thick and not too think.

Here is the cute little tag I created using a variety of MFT stamps and die-namics .

Here they are together.  You can really tell how small the card is in comparison to the tag.
