Card Patterns

Hello!  I am so glad it is Saturday.  It has been a pretty long week.  My son woke up Sunday morning telling me his throat hurt and school starts the next day.  Oh my!  So I took him to the walk in clinic.  Which took 3 hours. He went to school on Monday but come Tuesday he felt worse.  He stayed home Tuesday and Wednesday.  Nothing like missing the first days of school.  Especially when you are new to the school.
My mom also started back her chemo and radiation on Monday which I take her to.  So that was my week.  How did yours go?
This week the Design Team got to work with digital images from Black Leaf Studios.  Wonderful images.  You should go check them out.  The one I used here is Vintage Chic Elements.  You know me and my vintage.
I did not put a sentiment on this one.  I liked it so much I decided to leave it blank.  That way I can put whatever I want on it as needed.

Notice that I used my wood grain stamp from PTI for the chair to give it a little more pop.  Wondering if I should have done a darker color.

Supplies:
Cardstock: PTI/Rustic Cream
DP: My Minds eye/Home,K and Company, October Afternoon
Stamps: PTI/Wood Grain
Other: Doily(sprayed with Glimmer Mist), Ribbon, heart charm, twine

Thanks so much for stopping by
Have a great weekend!

Heather

Sorry to hear about your son, hope he gets better soon! Love this card, just so much of your shabby style!
Not too bad at the state fair, it was sunny and dry when we got there, we heard about the rain and the flood, guess we are lucky!

ugh Heather! Sending well wishes for your Mom and son to feel better soon. That's not a good start any one's week. Hopefully the weekend will be better! I love your vintage take on this week's sketch. Always like to see what you are creating and this card is lovely! I noticed the wood grain. It's subtle but enough to stand out. Hugs! ♥ Amy

Sorry about your son missing school - I think that sort of thing probably stresses out us moms more than the kids or the teachers. He will be fine, I'm sure - kids are so resilient. You and your mom are in my thoughts.

Your card is so very pretty - I love the soft colors (the wood grain is just right), the romantic little doily and ribbon. And I'm with you - I often leave off the sentiment, so that I can decide at the last minute whom it will go to and what it will say. :) Hope you get a little relaxation this weekend!

How clever to use the woodgrain stamp on the chair. The chair is so realistic is jumps right out at you. So pretty. I will put it on my "to do" list to check out the digi images.

I hope your mom is tolerating the chemo OK. I have no experience on chemo but I'm guessing the more treatments, the more symptoms.

Take care,
Shelley

I often think about you and your mom and praying that she finds comfort. I can tell that you are an awesome daughter to her and your love for her is so evident. I'm also hoping that your son is better soon.

I don't know how you come up with so many gorgeous cards with all that you have to deal with! This particular card is GORGEOUS! Love the colors, image and that charm is "charming." If you feel comfortable about giving out your addy, I'd love to send a card to your mom. Take care and wishing the best for you and your family. Lots of hugs. Adela
